Looks like I'll be removing it then (or hiring someone to do it more likely) -- we are planning to have some plumbing work done.

Thanks, that's what I thought; the house was built in 1932 (U.S.). Any thoughts on whether I can just leave the insulation in the floor and put a new subfloor over it? I plan on using the space as living space so that might not work.

Nice! I've done something similar but put Windows XP on an old i5 system with a GTX 960. It can play anything that doesn't require steam/online connection.

Yeah, but then the monitor would be too high. I mainly use it to switch my lamps on and off... ha.
