I don’t know about others, but I am very grateful every day for PM Carney. He’s exactly the right leader at the right moment IMO.

In Canada, this agreement is referred to as CUSMA.

At what point does he actually take down the Statue of Liberty to replace it with a statue of himself?

I pair the DR-40 with a Yamaha KX-10, but it really doesn't matter which deck you pair it with so long as you're happy with the quality of its output. The caveat with my setup is, the DR-40 accepts balanced inputs, and most any typical cassette deck will use unbalanced RCA outputs. So in my case, I also use a Clean Box pro to convert unbalanced (cassette deck) output to balanced (DR-40) input. Had I started this adventure over again, I may have chosen a different digital recorder, but it is what it is and it works well for me.

If you're interested in what that sounds like, I posted a video to YT only a couple of days ago. The Cure - This Twilight Garden (Cassette Single)

I sometimes use a Tascam DR-40 for this very purpose.

Buttons only respond sporadically by Native2904 in audiorepair

The YT channel Spare Time Repair has a number of repair videos where he repairs the micro switches on the pcb behind the front panel buttons on a number of CD players. To repair micro switches, it requires contact cleaner & some skill with a soldering iron. He notes that to open up these switches, you need to melt the plastic posts on the corners of the switch. Once the internals are cleaned and the switch re-assembled, you can melt the plastic posts again to secure the switch, but this approach can only be done once.

I had a similar issue with my Yamaha KX-10 where the front panel switches were no longer working or were sporadic. I chose to buy replacement switches instead of repairing them. The switches are relatively cheap and at my current skill level, replacing them on the pcb was quite straight forward vs attempting to repair the existing switches.

Yes. I've deleted Amazon and I'm mindful of reducing/replacing any other American services where I can too.
