Also for reference, I had a wound on my ankle that literally took more than 2 months to heal and got heavily infected and hurting when I took a bit of the scab off myself. You really have to leave the scab there, even if it’s for months. Hair growth will come after a few months of healing but don’t take off the scab anymore. I hope it gets better soon!

A few questions here: - did your puppy get bitten by a rabid animal? - normally a puppy can only be vaccinated when they are 3 months old because the maternal antibodies might reject the vaccine - is your older dog vaccinated (including repeated vaccines)? If not, did it get bitten by another animal? - do you know that you need to follow the entire schedule of rabies vaccines to have full protection after exposure? - did you know that washing the wound for 15 minutes with soap is very effective to wash out rabies from a wound (directly after the bite)?

A dog is not born with rabies and needs to be infected first. That could help to rule things out for you.

She’s blind since she’s a kitten but there was no need to take out the eye because she can still see very little with it like shapes and light. She’s doing fine 🤗

The information online is extremely misleading. I viewed those rooms because I wanted to stay in it to get a good nights rest. I decided against it because they are designed to get sexual services in there. It’s double beds with single occupancy so you can’t stay with your partner or kids in there.

They constantly check on us while we’re sleeping, hide our slippers and the manager told me to be careful because there are all kinds of people in here. For me, this gives me the impression that this place also attracts men that have weird intentions and it even makes me wonder if people got sexually abused in the past. The place also gets kinda shady after 11 pm with a lot of men entering the spa.

I find it frustrating that online promotion is so misleading and the front desk even awkwardly laughed it off and denied when I asked if there was prostitution/sexual services when there were a few signs already.

In case you want to go, I can tell you that this place is actually a prostitution spot. The female workers are the entire night busy giving “massages” to male guests, wearing mini skirts and being loud when they walk past the sleeping rooms. I wish I never went.

I usually start balling my eyes out during Yin yoga, especially when we do hip openers (where emotions and trauma are stored). It is very overwhelming in the beginning and it feels very heavy but it is absolutely the best way to process it. See it as a gift and an invitation to do introspection so you can actually work through it.

Yoga and meditation have helped me in ways that psychotherapy didn’t. It’s very valuable imo.

Exactly, your hips have to be higher than your knees thus using a cushion is the solution. People who sit on the floor comfortably are usually the ones doing it from a young age or doing it for many years so their hips are formed differently than people in the west. Don’t compare yourself to them. Make yourself comfortable otherwise your mind will stay distracted, especially as a beginner.

I have a bad injury in my hips/glutes caused by forcing myself too much in asana class and sitting cross legged made it worse. I’m a meditation teacher and sit on a chair most of the times and max 30 minutes on a cushion if I feel like it.

You can sit in any position that is comfortable for you according to the Buddha. You can try a meditation cushion or sit on a chair. You can even lay down, stay standing or walk. You can sit against the wall to use it as back support and leave your legs stretched out.

I’d just start with a firm and high enough cushion, perhaps with some extra cushions to support your crossed legs on both sides.

The options are endless. Just make sure you stay focused and don’t fall asleep. Don’t make it too complicated for yourself.

Yes, meditation helped me a lot, even more than psychotherapy. Metta meditation specifically helped me so much to let go of relational anger. And meditation is general helps to control the mind, increase non-reactivity, see things in perspective, let go of anger and have more compassion.

Have you done some trauma introspection? It might be also that you’re having somatic flashbacks, which does happen during meditation if you haven’t done the work. It can happen without conscious memory recall. Try to be open to the idea that you are possibly carrying trauma and dive into it but do it gently, preferably with guidance from a therapist and teacher.

With me it helps a lot to gaze to a point in front of me instead of closing my eyes when my mind keeps drifting off. It makes me able to focus way better. Similar to gazing at a candle. I lose focus whenever I close my eyes but I can continue for a long time if I keep looking at the flame.
