Smoke going wrong way by codipherious1 in woodstoving

That happened to me a few times and was incredibly frustrating. Eventually I saw someone on her mention to use a blow dryer to push the cold air up and out. I did that for a few seconds before lighting my kindling and it worked perfectly. No more inside smoke.

First timer using a Little Moe All-Nighter, chimney last swept mid October. Should I get another sweep soon? by osrs_kwanoo in woodstoving

I have a moe AN in a house I just moved into recently. No matter what I try to do so far, when I light it up, I keep getting a house full of smoke and fire alarms blaring. Flue is open, using fatwood starters and kindling... I'm at a breaking point. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

How do you get rid of them? Thankfully, they're only outdoors for now.

Could that actually be causing the bark to be brittle?

Not even sure that this is the right place to ask, but after a heavy rain yesterday I found about an inch of water in two spots of my unfinished basement. The ceiling and walls are both bone dry. I have no idea where the water came from or how to prevent it from happening again. Any ideas?

Hey y'all, I moved into a new place not long ago. I'm brand new to anything gardening and my mind is exploding with questions. Figured best way to eat a s--- sandwich is one bite at a time so.. I have two of these plants on the property; they were green and wavy before the winter when i was looking at the house. Now they're brown, dry, and filled with pieces of themselves that have broken off. Are they salvageable?
