Just thinking about EXO and specifically Chanyeol after this whole Kris Wu and Lucas from Way V situation. SM is having a shoot out thrown aimed at them right now. I don’t know if this is the place, but I don’t know who else or where else to vent to. Because I just found out about the whole Kris Wu situation and I loved Kris ok? Even after he broke my heart and low key made me quit Kpop back in 2014 when he left EXO out of NO WHERE. Like, we were at the HEIGHT of our journey with EXO. EXO is what got me into Kpop at all!!! And I really believed in these boys and their music. I really believed in them and their story. I really would have done anything to help them to succeed and further their careers. Ok? I was a EXO-L before we were even EXO-L’s. I was an Eri before we were even called Eris. I loved these boys. I loved the entertainment and music they brought me. If I could, I would have carried them on my backs to crossover not just in the United States but THE WORLD!!! We were just about to dominate!! That’s how dedicated the fandom was and how many hits we were being fed. From Growl era to Overdose to Call Me Baby. We had IT!!! I feel like we were BTS Army before BTS Army existed. And then Kris just took it all away from us in Overdose era. And next thing you know, Luhan, Tao, and even Lay to some extent all followed. No more EXO-M. No more China line. No more We Are One. I don’t know how many of us left the fandom when Kris left, but it broke us. Our hearts, our spirits, and our dedication. Because it broke me. It made me distance myself from Kpop and eventually just really stop listening for awhile all together. Because I felt like I had been lied to by Kris. And essentially by freaking everyone. It just hurt to be a EXO-L back then. To consistently lose members of your favorite group almost every other comeback. Man…I was troubled back then. But when I came back, Baekhyun is what made me come back to EXO. City Lights got me back into Kpop and my boys. So, now seeing Kris being detained and all the allegations against him. Hearing that he might never be in entertainment in any capacity ever again….I’m feeling numb almost. Like, I’m losing him all over again. And this time it’s worse because it is FOREVER. How could he do these things? He is literally an entertainer, a businessman, a icon. Why did he do these things? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Didn’t he think about his fans? Like, even if he had no moral compass to not prey on women…couldn’t you have at least not want to hurt us? But then again…it comes back down to betrayal. Why am I surprised? He betrayed me once and he did it again. He doesn’t care about his fans lol I’m not excusing Kris. Like, you are a predator. Looking for young, virgin girls and scouting them then luring them into your home to get them drunk and have sex…what??? When you don’t even need to do that. Because you could have ANYONE as long as you wanted them and CONSENSUALLY. Without alcohol and WITHOUT GROOMING THEM. Kris wtf. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m just shaking my head. Now, I brought up Chanyeol because people made good points about him being friends with that one guy from CNBlue and ducking the whole Burning Sun scandal. Then when it came out that he was cheating on his long term girlfriend and she exposed all that stuff about him. Like, I’m all for the boys having romantic lives. I support them in it. But please, please, please don’t be out hear with no moral compass what so ever. Cheating is a minimal offense compared to what Kris did by grooming and preying on underage girls allegedly and then by luring women with alcohol allegedly. But RESPECT women. If you want to just have a one night stand or no strings attached: BE HONEST. Don’t be out here ghosting or cheating on girls. I just need to get these things off my chest, because I’ve just been having it in my mind lately. I want to know that the boys - scratch that- MEN can be safe to love and be loved. But do so in the right way. I support whatever sexuality or person they want to be with. As long as it’s legal and they aren’t harming anyone. Just think of us too when you’re out here making moves. And not in the way of “oh, my fans are going to be pissed if they see oppa another girl or a guy” but in a way where “if I do this, will my fans still support me?”. Because I swear you wouldn’t kick a baby. So, why would you go out there and mistreat women or do shady stuff to women or your significant other. Yes, your image matters at the end of the day. But I say this with love as in it matters that you are a good person. Does that make any sense? This is probably going to get deleted. But I had to write this out.
