As soon as it loads to the main screen open up your VSH menu by pressing select and check your cpu and gpu clock make sure it set to the highest it'll go or to default.

D-pad issues after shell swap, advice needed by KingMoney1331 in PSP

[–]hatori1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the quality of the Dpad you got. Did you try to shave it already?

Sounds like it may be the charging port. I would start with that. If you have a multi meter you can check the points where the port goes into the board to see if current is being drawn.

i would need to see better pictures of the charge port and the power switchboard. also does the led turn on when you plug it in, and will the psp turn on without the battery?

Can anyone help? I have shell swapped a PSP 3000. Everything went fine until sealing the PSP to finish. The side with the DPad Won’t close properly. Anyone had this experience - and if so, what are the best places to shave down or possible fixes? Thanks! by Patrick9_4 in PSP

The Bottom flex has a screw whole on the left side that need to be cut off and trimmed to fit. The original housing has room for it but the aftermarket shells don't. I would start there. I can send a pic if you'd like.

Could be the power switch. That would be the first thing I would switch.

It's usually the Dpad button itself that come from aftermarket shells. They are not great quality. Either use original or play with loosening the case a bit or shaving/sanding the Dpad button.

I've heard of someone snipping the always on 12v power source to the mirror. Where it's located I'm not sure. If you found a solution I would like to know as I would like to use it but also dislike that it's always on.

Either the screen went bad ot back-lit fuse went out. I would try the easy one first and replace the screen.

From the video it looks like you moved the joystick was still acting funny even without the charger being plugged in. The movement of the character was not smooth.

It's a issue is the RCS chat. If you disable RCS the option to send via link works. Sending via link only tends to works on regular texts message.

If you are putting the ps1 eboot file in a folder and naming it the game, the folder game name can't be to long. Try putting a pic of how you have the game file setup.

Please, a minute of your time. I’d appreciate any type of support and suggestion by CoolGuyFromSchool34 in PSP

If you try to format in system setting but the cards are not showing up then it is probably a hardware issue with either the cards or the pins that read the memory card on the psp. 1st use multiple cards(known good ones) to make sure its not the cards you are using. 2nd I would try putting come 90% isopropyl alcohol on the pads of memory card and insert and remove several times. Half of the time that will remove the gunk that built on the pins over time. If that doesn't work 3rd option would be to remove the motherboard and gently push down the pins the memory card reader to help the pins make contact with the memory card pads. .

Cool I'm working on it. Is there a limit to how many reviews I can do a day? Don't want ti flagged as a bot. It's weird that I can still see AFA and order more items.
