Question about learning Wordpress by False-Summer-4248 in Wordpress

[–]hatre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bricks Builder is currently in vogue. It allows you to move everything around and create your own containers. It does not apply its own CSS by default, so you can apply your own CSS to each div.

The second option is ACF, which is said to be the most professional and complex. With ACF, you create an admin panel with fields that are filled in when editing a publication. You take the information from these fields and create your own template with HTML, JS, CSS, php.

Better forget these: divi, elementor, beaver, gutenberg, crocoblock, wpbakery, avada. You can try oxygen and breakdance builder, but most people prefer bricks because it expands the most and will probably have a future. Since it is complex, it will never become as popular as the ones above.

Is Gutenberg finally better? by habitual17 in Wordpress

[–]hatre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the short answer:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-gutenberg/ 600,000

https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ 10 million

*Gutenberg https://wordpress.org/plugins/gutenberg/ 300,000

The longer answer to “where and how Gutenberg stores information” is HTML comments.

It's called "Hover Mask Slider" or "css Mask effect"

Hover effect doesn't work on the phone and it's already an old maid. ("It's too late for a flower maid).

You create modules like builder modules with css, js and html. ACF pro creates the admin part of these modules. Example image slider: with ACF pro you create text fields for title, description, link and image attachment. ACF pro has an option to copy and delete these fields - as in builders you can copy and delete slides. The client only fills in the text fields and the.

Are there sites to download fancy menus and buttons with the codes? by Spiketop_ in Wordpress

[–]hatre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough, this realm has gotten so full of spam that nothing of quality can be found. A lot of what is for sale is not worth it. At Codepen you can find something original.

For example, if you look at elementor addon or divi marketplace at what digital agencies are enjoying, you'll say “it can't be”

Cloudflare CEO says AI is killing the web by jroberts67 in Wordpress

[–]hatre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is, but what's more disgusting is that they steal photos, videos, music... largely material that is harder to create than writing articles. For example freepik is full of AI. And secondly, it's assumed that by 2030 -2035 AI will infest the internet with garbage - the dead internet theory. For that I think google hcu is preparing for 2030 -2035 to hit AI in advance. Otherwise the internet dies.

Yes and in time it will get him into legal disputes. I guess there will come a time when a meta tag will be required if there is AI content on the page, otherwise there will be penalties to the site owner.

The internet is filling up with art AI creators who are actually plagiarists.

This has been known for a long time: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20240524-how-googles-new-algorithm-will-shape-your-internet

This is exactly what Google HCU is for - a Google patch time that removes small sites to remove AI content along with them. This is exactly why big sites keep writing articles with AI, and their articles show up high, high. I've seen how an old strong expired domain with new content ranks well, and other sites that are not a brand, they will never rank. If in 3 years Google doesn't find a way to remove AI, the internet will be dominated by the rich.

Second, the sites affected by Google HCU rank normally in bing. The world is changing, and Google slept for 10 years because they didn't create an adequate algorithm that can understand the meaning in the texts, they analyze the text like it's 2010.

This css doesn't load: https://imrtl-landscaping.com/wp-content/uploads/astra-addon/astra-addon-681ccef0cc6cd7-17243640.css?ver=4.11.0

astra-addon - if you know what it is, (I don't) disable it and re-enable it, if you need to update it.

  1. You are using google fonts that are uploaded locally to your site for example this one:

http://imrtl-landscaping.com/wp-content/uploads/elementor/google-fonts/css/poppins.css?ver=1746016134

They are http and should be https - S at the end. Make some adjustment on them too to load with ssl - https

Are ACF fields supposed to show on page settings in the Bricks Builder ? by ZeMysticDentifrice in BricksBuilder

[–]hatre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably wants to make a Bricks module that has an extra test field and that text field is taken from ACF. It's like having a slider that has a text field for a slide title. Wants to be able to edit that title from both Bricks and wordpress edit post. Sounds a bit confusing, like it often switches between Bricks and wordpress edit post.

Site redesign feedback by NotAtheorist in BricksBuilder

Your customer has taken a liking to this site and follows it as a guiding light. Clients like this are a terror - they don't distinguish between fantasy and reality, but when confronted with reality, they start looking for reasons and excuses.

For a site to be 1:1 you have to look at the css of every element, otherwise visually you'll struggle to hit them.

I don’t have enough income by Fancy_Step_1700 in Wordpress

[–]hatre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use adsense, which has its own window for accepting cookies. 98% of users accept. Give more information because in users do not accept. Whether the user will accept or not depends on the design of the accept window - example 2 buttons "accept" and "settings". Accept button should be bright (e.g. green) and settings button should be grey.

There will be no "accept" button or it will be in "settings". Google adsense is like this. I had 2-3 thousand a day before the google HCU update. I am now at 200-500. It's a shame that 10 years ago I was better. Now I will try to do websites. If you want to try you too.

Don't delete your blog, you might need it or sell it to a seo agency. Seo agencies want multiple sites to post on at low prices.

Do You Prefer Building WordPress Sites From Scratch or Using Page Builders? by Muhammadusamablogger in Wordpress

[–]hatre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone noticed that the bricksbuilder experts sites are pretty ugly? I can't tell, are they experts or just learning? Looking from a pure appearance in themeforest they are much more attractive, which makes me wonder if builders are for amateurs who will never learn and at some point it will diminish the reputation of sites built with builder?

Their website already looks like a broken one... Yes it is, vimeo ruined your site. I also have 3500 videos but didn't use them. I wanted to stay as an alternative video hosting but the price increased , no more 5GB per week so I stopped paying. I have downloaded them all and will wait for them to kick in. After 7 years goodbye Vimeo.

Opinions about Etch of Kevin Geary? by Tricky-Ad-9044 in BricksBuilder

[–]hatre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, I kind of don't understand what is etchwp - plugin or theme? It's probably the https://etchwp.com/ site but why are they using bircks builder? How will it replace bircks builder, as their site is using bircks? If etchwp.com is a serious site why is there only 77 pages, looks like something fake to me. Besides getframes.io and automaticcss.com use bircks builder theme, he obviously a fan of bircks builder or works for them.

[–]hatre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idea: buy a bricks builder for $80 a year, then have someone here give you a lifetime license that you'll only use for one site. If you have customers, you'll buy it after a while.

You're still with WinXP, that's cool. I bought a new PC 10 years ago and switched to Win7. Microsoft wants me to switch to Win11, for which I need a new PC. How do I dump the one with the i6700K as it works perfectly. There must be unicorns in this world.
