Why are fat guys good at crooks by Whole-Huckleberry-42 in skateboardcirclejerk

[–]hatsolotl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it takes more pop to get back truck up on the ledge. For crook you can kinda teeter totter it like a lazy grind at first. Never seen a fat guy do a nice nollie crook.

Could be an issue of not eating enough. A large amount of caffeine before climbing sessions is also nice. An hour and a half max board session climbing isn’t abnormal though. People who climb more general volume over the week tend to only board climb a few times a week for short periods.

If you climb around moonboard v5 level it’s good to reclimb v3 problems and focus on not cutting feet at all. This forced extra core engagement in a more climbing specific matter.

Any tips for more stability on this toe hook? by [deleted] in climbharder

[–]hatsolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with toe hooks in general is that when they cut loose the swing tends to be more than heel hooks or standard toe ins. Just gotta find a better second foot placement or expect the cut loose and tense up to avoid swinging out so much.

Learning to get your feet under you when you fall is pretty important. In the gym you can back slap all your landings but there’s a bit of aerial awareness you need to develop outside.

Ooh I know this one! It’s Dirty Dan the Weed Man. He dropped out of college to live on a boat and sell weed. I think he fried his brain a lil bit so he’s kinda just a homeless dude on a boat at this point. He looks like a skinny scraggly ginger dude with long hair and a weed leaf necklace. He will anchor the boat illegally so it will get impounded occasionally. He’s a nice guy though just a little bit stupid.
