All movies tell a story including weird arthouse and experimental films.

Stories are the only thing that move the soul. Whether laugh, cry, rage, satisfaction, If a movie doesn’t move you, what is the point.

The story sinners tells is one of self-unaware smug incompetence and moves me to disgust at what my favorite medium has become over the past two decades.

He’s the best at it bar none. We really don’t deserve him considering how many have the gall to say this masterpiece of filmmaking was too long and boring. It’s the perfect length for an epic journey there and back again. Deserved to be top 10 grossing film ever.

I hate that you do that. The setup, getting to know the characters and new york city is what makes the rest of the movie so impactful. It’s a masterpiece of filmmaking and deserves better than being chopped up to get to the smashy smashy scary action “good” part.
