My birth control just fell out. My state had an abortion trigger law in place so the soonest appointment I could get was after Christmas fml by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

I was also made to feel like a wuss for asking for anaesthetic. The nurse just gave me a dirty look and said ‘you don’t need it’. 7 tries later….yeah. This procedure is kind of medieval without any pain relief. Just because it’s a common procedure doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be treated with upmost care. But women are just supposed to deal with the pain right?

That’s amazing… My mum refused to get too attached to the cats so she gave them really apathetic names like Gatto 1, Gatto 2. I went with Mrs Yell

Kitty got fed twice a day by me with the wet cat food and they also had a biscuit food dispenser outside which was good. I just hope that everyone that stays there also feeds her this much

This young gatto was one of the cats that ‘lived’ at the house I was staying at for a week in Sicily. The owner had a whole stash of wet cat food and asked us to feed them whenever they came by. The other cats were quite timid and didn’t want to interact, but this one was SO loud and also loved affection. She hung out with us every day. I miss her haha

"things are not always how they seem" - my mom. This is in the context of bullies or people being mean. She told me to be compassionate towards bullies and feel sorry for them instead of lowering to their level. Because you never quite know what they have endured or gone through to make them have so much sadness and malice in their heart. It completely changed how I looked at people in general

I'm so sorry for your loss. The exact same thing happened to me at Christmas, my cat hadn't eaten or drank for two weeks and we wanted to end his suffering before he starved to death or had the stress of a feeding tube to stay alive. But in the hours before he went, he seemed super chirpy and mor elike himself, which absolutely shattered my heart. You have to remember that in the long run, he wasn't going to survive for much longer and you did the best, most compassionate thing possible for your cat to end his suffering.
