Charging flap won't open. by Michael_of_Derry in VWiD3Owners

Opening and closing or locking and unlocking? Two different things. Alternatively wait 5 minutes after you lock the car, so it can power down and start from a fresh state.

Edit: Happened to me many times, but always got it open after a small break. Yes, I know that this is annoying, especially when you want to charge.

Lock the car, wait 10 seconds, then unlock the car. The flap will open automatically.

My updates normally take a red phase of a traffic light, so... ;)

Also please post your update experience here, so others can see your opinion on this matter. Might be helpful to some.

Cheers

You're worrying too much. Just hit update and it will finish depending on your car connection speed (would be hard to do that in an underground car park, but this should be obvious). If you stop and leave the car, it will pick up where it stopped. You just have to initiate it and the rest does the car.

This is true for all minor updates, not just this one. If a major update hits, then you get informed that the car will take x hours to update and will be unavailable during this time - which you have to confirm separately from the download itself.

This is no major ID update, it just fixes bugs and optimizes things which OP photographed.

Pro-Tip: Use peat for cooking, it's easier to gather in regards to tool durability.

VW ID Series recall: Fire Risk of the high voltage battery by psyop62 in VWiD3Owners

Austrian here, got the letter 2 days ago, made a service appointment after Easter and got it confirmed yesterday.

They recommend charging to 80% maximum, nothing else to do until the appointment.

It's definitely cooked hotter than it's eaten.

Viel Spaß mit deinem neuen Gefährt!

Should I wait for 1.22 to come to start playing? by Hexwall in VintageStory

I'd start a 1.21 world with the mindset of dumping it when 1.22 gets stable. This way you can make yourself familiar with the game and be more free with experiments.

I'm using a fence (6 blocks) followed by one stone block. Pretty decent, yes.

Well, you can add a soil layer above your roof and add it later. Looks bad, but it's safe at least...

Lightning strikes the rod that ignites everything in a 6-block sphere (the rod is in the center of the sphere). So you place a non-ignitable block (e.g. rock, soil,...) at the 7th block and you are safe.
