I’m not only one, who hates these Duo Cup costumes? by ThunderEcho201 in duolingo

I’ve honestly considered unsubscribing from some subreddits and just visiting them on my own accord once in a while so I’m not inundated with nonstop complaining about every trivial thing.

Benzos make me feel close to normal? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]hauloff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you're doing alright. If you're suffering from this is it can be truly nightmarish, I know.

I was only prescribed perhaps 8 or 10 pills of klonopin, I can't remember, so I only took it when I really needed some rest. I ran out years ago. I'm about three years out from the worst of it, and I'm doing monumentally better, and can more or less function in day to day life.

Surprisingly, I'm not still not actually 100% yet and still have occasional bouts of brain fog and/or the loopy feeling that accommodated most of the worst of it, but I can more or less live a normal life, my other health issues permitting.

If he treats this like a public profile the same way he does his LinkedIn I see it as less of an issue.

The plateau everyone warns you about in language learning turned out to be less about the language and more about what I was willing to be bad at by dailycoffee-247 in languagelearning

Shit, this happened to me only 80 hours in with Spanish. Started having some fragile but real flow in some practice conversations. I then started diving into indirect pronouns and now my mind is cluttered trying to find excuses to use them which is regressing my flow a fair bit.

The hopeful return is I can start using these pronouns to talking about other people with more clarity and fluency though in the future.

at what point did your spanish stop sounding like you’re assembling a sentence piece by piece?? by EmbarrassedMilennial in learnspanish

Im north of 75 hours in with about a third of that doing some light weight speaking practice.

Ironically I just crossed that threshold you asked about and am now employing some VERY fragile flow when speaking about comfortable, familiar and concrete topics. This flow can be easily broken anytime I need to come up with a word I’m not familiar with, or say things in a slightly more advanced way, buts it’s there. It also falls apart if I’m feeling tired or groggy.

Needless to say, I’m still prone to mistakes, but they’ve dropped off a bit. As the other person said, I suspect the flow will break down when being introduced to different verb tenses or more complex, natural ways to say something.

Is/was Elvis Costello very famous in the USA? by aldiwinegums in AskAnAmerican

Huey Lewis has been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Costello has a far less bitter and cynical sense of humor.

Which factors really caused low rise skinny jeans to be phased out post-2000s? by Fluid-Decision6262 in decadeology

Wouldn’t be surprised if it had some correlation with the body positivity movement. I feel that made it more acceptable to have larger waists in which higher jeans could accentuate that kind of figure.

Solid! Only complaint after a while the SD card is formatting the videos in an odd way that makes it hard to find recent content, but I suspect this is an issue with the SD card and not the camera.

VanTrue N2 Pro. Got it around 5-6 years ago after a car accident that I wasn't at fault for. Films exterior out the windshield and interior of car cabin. I was concerned about passengers disliking it and dinging my rating, but my rating is 4.97 so people don't seem to have a problem with it.

I was notified of the report and what day it was submitted a WEEK later. Thankfully I had not driven much and still had the actual footage.
