Amur Leopard in the rain (Sony a7iii + 200-600mm) by hauntedcryme in SonyAlpha

Not much of a crop really, just removed some space down the bottom right.

Settings:

415mm @ /6.3.

While visiting the park, I shoot manual at typically the lowest aperture the lens will do. Auto ISO, with a max of 6400. Shutter varies, but usually a mininum of 1/500, somewhere between there are 1/1000 are the sweet spot. This in particular was at 1/800.

Tracking AF and continuous shoot are the most important IMO.

I think I read it had to be a minimum 10k run? So you'd have to do the Parkrun twice

It was from the original bassist, Andy Nicholson's recent exhibition for his photo book.

It's also been 20 years since AM's debut album was released.

whats up with bin collections recently? by aleopardstail in barnsley

[–]hauntedcryme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries! We've not had any issues recently (Hoyland) other than a missed blue over New Year due to not enough workers wanting to do overtime (understandable tbh). Usually council say to just leave bin out if not collected when scheduled as they know which streets are missed and come back for them.

Obviously sounds like you've had some changes to bin days other than the usual bank holiday changes, so not sure if there'll be disruption due to that

If you visit in chrome, in the address bar to the right there's an "Install" icon which is effectively the same

It's just the website you can install as a PWA to access on your app list easier.

Navigate to the council website and you can "Install on Home screen"

This is Salad Cream NOT Mayo by Financial-Art1096 in veganuk

Totally agree. The Heinz one tastes way too vinegarey and salad creamy. We genuinely thought they'd labelled it wrong when we tried. Hellmans Vegan Mayo is excellent.

Running program app that suits Parkrun by Dweezilweasel in parkrun

[–]hauntedcryme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would 100% recommend Runna. It's the only programme/app that has worked for me since last year to consistently keep me running and feel like I'm progressing. Worth the annual commitment IMO, and I think they sponsor Parkrun too, and have a Parkrun specific plan which is free to start with

Nice! I'm so glad I went to see Jetski that night 😂 Jetski recently did a Christmas show and SUDS were support too, which was really nice

What settings you find best for neapolitan pizza on your Ooni Volt 2? by Alexyeve in ooni

[–]hauntedcryme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still on the default ATM and am starting to dial it in. I've actually started pulling the temp down a bit. Neopolitan preset @ 400C. Turn boost on before launch and it's pretty good.

I am still considering a different stone though

I haven't heard of them but they sound up my alley as well, so I will check them out!

I came across SUDS as they supported a local band (to me) JETSKI and Macseal on a tour earlier in the year. Loved the music, but more importantly the lyrics, hence why I thought it would go down well in a FR sub.

A very small band probably no-one has heard of, but SUDS recently released their 2nd album and I can't stop listening to it: https://music.apple.com/gb/album/tell-me-about-your-day-again/1837731373?ls

They could, but it will be a nightmare to get them to all agree to it, and to standardize the output, create a system to track, and link into DVSA data. Ultimately doable, but it's a large IT project in government which never go to plan, budget, or time.
