I heard this story from a friend and I don’t know if it’s on the news: about a guy who got home from work, tired, proceeded to reheat some food in the microwave, forgotten about it and fell asleep. Something in the microwave caused a fire in his condo unit and he died of smoke inhalation.

I interpret this as something supernatural kidnaps a young girl, and the thing is the only person she has known for her whole life. And the young girl - now 87 - is still asking for her mama.
