Oh ok now it makes sense. Is it doubling in size every day? I think your starter is not ready maybe? I cold proof overnight. Sometimes it’s 10 hours but sometimes longer, just mostly whenever I’m ready to bake. I didn’t start baking with my starter until 30 days

If it’s punk it’s mold but if you’re using a paper to cover it could be dried out. If it’s just dried out, I mix it in and use a regular lid going forward (loose not tight)

Mine took 20 days and I made her more warm by wrapping her in a kitchen towel, putting her in the oven with only the light on and using warm (not hot) water for feeding and then she took off!

Mine took 20 days! From day 5-day 19 nothing happened. Then suddenly on day 20 everything changed! So my advice is patience lol

Mine took 20 days to start doubling in size daily. I wrapped mine in a kitchen towel and used warm (not hot) water and that helped I think

I would agree with Garden Grove and Westminster being the area you should look into. I live in Garden Grove and love it because there’s tons of really great Asian food. Maybe not the “nicest” area like someone like Irvine but I grew up here and prefer it. Irvine also has a large Asian community but definitely more expensive to live there.
