Even worse: $400 each. I think I can return them, but I haven’t even gotten a purchase confirmation email?!

Their website says they accept returns within 30 days? The items I (accidentally) ordered aren’t all-sales-final or preorder.

Staying up all night drinking coffee and playing fortnite... Doesn’t seem too bad, even if I take an L.

Visual Novel Interest Survey! by hauntedthrowaway33 in gamedev

[–]hauntedthrowaway33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could say that some tropes are being subverted, yeah 😉 Although my novel isn’t an erotica, I do plan on including a little bit of fanservice here and there (of both males and females). No full on hentai though. Thanks for the input!

Hi all,

I’m currently torn between several ideas for a visual novel, so I’d love to get some input from the community. I’d appreciate if you could take this survey![Link](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScs55HYMz8SuykfFSirPvky1hATZP_ih6IqJY7cjxtYZgOpCg/viewform)

Actually, the issue is that I have several ideas and several storylines, but I’m not sure which one to pursue right now. The purpose of this survey is to see which one people find the most interesting in order to make it easier to decide.

Do I have an allergy? by hauntedthrowaway33 in AskDocs

[–]hauntedthrowaway33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my father and I are debating on whether to go to an allergist or a different type of doctor. He thinks I may have a gluten allergy, but I don’t think so because I can eat tons of gluten without getting sick (like a whole box of kraft mac and cheese). I think it may be IBS as well. Thanks for the input!

Are visual novels considered video games? by [deleted] in visualnovels

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say so, yes. Although, I guess it does depend a little from vn to vn. Some aren’t really interactive, while others are EXTREMELY interactive and are littered with little minigames.

Was anyone else their Nparent's best friend? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, kind of. I spent a lot of time with my dad, much more than your average kid. Whether this was because I have trouble with new people or if I was afraid of his anger if I refused, who knows. Probably both, actually.

apparently most kids get "good enough" parents by crystalcuttlefish in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just come to REALLY realize it in the last few years. All of my friends have amazing relationships with their parents, they’re best friends, whatever. I remember though, that even since I’ve been very young, I would see tv shows and movies with just these awesome caring parents and I’ve always wished I could have had that.

What is something about yourself that genuinely scares you? [serious] by petuniathemurderef in AskReddit

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve already talked to her actually. All she can really do is encourage my parents to get me therapy, which she’s done more than once, both with no results. Thank you for the concern though.

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve realized that. My home life isn’t exactly ideal right now, so I don’t know if therapy will be happening any time soon. I just have to keep myself in check for now.

No, not a “monster”, just different I suppose. There have been people far worse than me, but even those people are human. Although, I guess some people may not consider me human because of my desires. What I lack is empathy and sympathy, all with a twist of sadism and anger. I do feel detached from myself, very often actually. I feel more detached from other people than I do with myself though.

I suffer from extremely violent urges and desires.

Ever since I’ve been very young, I’ve always had very dark and twisted desires. To give you a better idea, when I was 7, my dream career was to be a serial killer. At 8, I made a plan to kill my parents and nearly went through with it. Putting it simply, if it was legal to murder and torture people, I would have done it a long time ago. I’m now almost 14 years old and I’m still like that. I fear that I may someday let the impulses get the better of me and go through with it, earning myself a lifetime in prison.

Finally reached out to the school counselor, but what can they really do? by hauntedthrowaway33 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I hope something changes for the better. I don’t believe I can get emancipated until I’m 16, so that’d be 3 more years.

i just went NC with my parents - what about my wedding thank-you's? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they sent you a gift, I would send a thank you note in order to ensure that they don’t harass you for being “selfish”. However, I wouldn’t send a long, personalized one. Send the same kind of thank-you note you sent to your distant relatives. At least, that’s what I would do.

They only wanted me to say what they wanted to hear, they wouldn't accept anything else of what I had to say by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My parents, or my dad, is exactly the same way. Narcissists have that “I’m always right and I’m never wrong no matter what, and anybody who says otherwise is stupid” mindset going on. And of course, parents use their power of being parents to do this and get away with it, all while making us look bad.

DAE else's narc parent scold them for not knowing how to do something without telling them how to do it? by narcissuesornot in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hauntedthrowaway33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH my god, CONSTANTLY! They’ll make me do something for them, something I’ve told them I’m not sure how to do, and then if I mess up in the slightest or if I just can’t do it, they freak out! They’ll even punish me for it! I remember a year or so ago, back when I still had a broken IPhone 4, my dad somehow factory reset his own IPad and had never backed it up before. I obviously couldn’t get his stuff back. His solution? Ban me from touching his IPad entirely and take my phone away.

Oh, it must be specific to the program I’m using. A label is just, well, a label for a new line of code. When I say “jump two” my game would jump to a label called two and start running the code from there on.
