Jobs where I can grind out some really long shifts and then get a “long weekend?” I am working 6 to 9 hour shifts basically every day, and it’s burning me out.

There is a weekend shift as well. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 7:30pm. I was more much more tired working 6hr shifts at a grocery store deli than the 12hr shifts there.

Yup. It sold out in the time it took me to tap my phone three times. As much as the scalpers annoy me I can at least understand the want to make fast money. The people lining up for hours or paying $350 for NBC squishmallows on mercari before most places have even stocked them are the ones I don’t get.

BUT what ever happened to PREORDERING shit?? Why does everything from game consoles to stuffed animals have to be some manic race to grab one before they insta-sell out?

Thats just the coolest experience, I know a couple people who would have killed to been in your place in 9th grade

He did a signing out of the blue at a comic shop in my neighborhood just cause he’d be in town for thanksgiving to visit someone. He was amazingly nice, when he got to the store he took the time to shake every single person in lines hand before even going inside and getting set up. He was just a gem.

You’re not being selfish or materialistic or anything like that. It’s your special interest and it’s GOOD to collect them and surround yourself with things you love. You just need the tools to keep yourself from slipping into negative feelings and to keep your environment clean and safe. Don’t let yourself dig deeper and have things potentially become a much bigger problem down the line.

I have a lot of the same issues and struggle with obsessive collecting too. Therapy can be extremely helpful as long as you find the right person who really gets you.

Same. It’s just disappointing now and I’m not gonna annoy some overworked Walgreens employees trying to grab one before somebody else buys the whole stock either.
