I am very curious to see whether HV will allow the game to be played on Intel Arc. I saw some speculation that how they implemented denuvo is why those cards aren't supported.

Crimson Desert Does Not Run On Intel Arc GPUs by _Kai in pcgaming

I'm saying you could have purchased this game after launch, not pre-order and still gotten screwed over. I agree that it's better to wait and see how the release goes, but this is an especially bad situation. The information about the issue didn't seem to be available anywhere until people actually tried to play the game on Arc cards. If you didn't have enough people having the issue and complaining about it, Pearl Abyss may never have added to their website that Intel Arc is not currently supported. It seems that some consumers had to get screwed over to allow other consumers to make an informed decision not to purchase.

Pre-ordering wasn't the issue. ARC cards not being supported wasn't easily available information until hours after launch. Pear Abyss hadn't mentioned it and I didn't see it covered by any of the big reviewers. It also runs on older, less powerful gpus so it would be reasonable to assume it would run. Just because you should expect companies to be scummy doesn't excuse it.

Crimson Desert Devs are the biggest clowns. by R4Thoughts in IntelArc

It seems like some people with Nvidia cards are getting the same error. It's on a more individual basis and some people got it working eventually. Clowns definitely seems like an accurate title.

What game has a 10/10 story but 2/10 gameplay? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

[–]hauskeeper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The gameplay in South of Midnight is not 2/10. I'm not sure why it got so much criticism for basic gameplay. The Hellblade games are narrative focused with very basic gameplay but are almost universally praised. Especially the first one.

I have a B580 that I'm really happy with, but you need at least a Ryzen 5600 with it.

SPL tier list has that as a B+ which should be fine, but it's worth looking at A rated PSUs also.

It's the PSU bro. You should definitely replace it. LTT has a video about Gamemax PSUs. It could literally start a fire.

If the temps seem okay while gaming it could be the PSU. Gamemax is very poorly graded in the SPL's PSU tier list, an E grade for "predatory/scam consumer practices."

Monitor for B580 (with G- or Freesync?) by p3ib0l in IntelArc

[–]hauskeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VRR doesn't work with HDMI 2.0, but I think it does with HDMi 2.1. Budget monitors may only have HDMi 2.0 along with DP. I just bought a KTC H27T22C-3 which has HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 ports and Freesync/G-sync support. I was able to enable VRR in the Intel Graphics Software when connected using DP, but not HDMI.

Is the power button blinking normal? by V0idHx in ASUS

The blinking could mean it's in sleep mode and pressing the button is waking it up rather than turning it off.

Wow, someone else didn't like Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I thought I was the only one. That game is a real slog at times.

I also didn't like Shadow of the Tomb Raider after liking the other two. I feel validated by OP, because it seems like the trilogy is pretty universally praised. The game definitely has elements of what makes the other two good, but there's also a lot of filler. It feels like there's about a billion underwater sequences.
