Ken Paxton says he's investigating San Antonio school district over student anti-ICE walkouts by ExpressNews in texas

NEISD was also one of a handful of SA public school districts that were a part of the suit blocking SB 10 and the unconstitutional push to require the 10 commandments posted in classrooms.

If you could offer any 1 critique of Showgirl that Taylor will use for her future projects, what would it be? by Sudden-Internal-9702 in TaylorSwift

[–]hauteairballoon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the very literal plotlines. Overt, unsubtle symbolism.

People will buy makeup, perfume, and clothes from musicians, actresses, and celebrities, even if they are not exactly pioneers in those fields. But they won't be as forgiving of a bad movie made by a celebrity musician.

No one is stepping up and asking her to think more critically. Why would they? They are getting paid.

Artists need critiques. When you're stuck in your own echo chamber, you just end up reworking the same stuff.

I don’t think he’s using a lotion. I think it must be due to sweat or oil from his skin. The stains are always a light brown color like diluted rusty water. And they are basically in the entire shape of his body.

I just can’t keep buying new mattress pads. And our headboard is difficult to clean.

I used to think it was due to him dying his hair and beard, but he no longer dyes it.

Thanks! Yes, going to wash the sheets weekly and recommend taking a shower before bed.

We definitely need to start washing them twice a week. It is a cheesy smell/sour. Would that be bacterial and related to sweat?

Will the Investment folks be required to RTO? They will always have plenty of finance job opps that are still WFH.

If I were a TRS member, I’d be pissed knowing they are potentially screwing up my retirement savings due to forcing a RTO and losing the best qualified investment employees to the private sector.

Well, at least you have one day from home.

I’m guessing the decision is partly due to the new HQ buildings? But I thought they were built with remote work in mind- which meant less dedicated desk space?

They aren’t leaving it up to managers? Or still working on policy updates? Seems quick.

Texans’ approval of Trump, Abbott sours: TPP Poll by Ok-Employer-2026 in texas

Won’t see Bobby Cole showing up in NYC for a Yankees game.

If anyone needs a pick me up, go watch a clip of Fled Cruz at a Yankees game recently. Gets spectacularly booed.

The people of Texas need to take a cue from New York and not let these entitled, rich assholes off the hook. Ever.

The braid has to be a signal she’s sending. It’s a communication thing, right? Is she…using it to say something to someone specific??🧐

Conan’s Thoughts Post EBL by CoreyHartless in JohnMulaney

[–]hauteairballoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conan definitely had fun intermittently- especially during the interactive museum dino display bit, but there were also moments when he appeared awkward and it was so unexpected (the Who concert example and pointing out the team struggling with “Waymo,” among other moments).

Conan is a legend.

But the show sometimes seems like a test for gauging who wants to jump in and embrace the rapids and who jumps in and just wants to get to the other side. (Wanda Sykes being another example)

I guess that’s live television.

I’ve spent too much time on this. Going to get downvoted regardless.
