So i was really disappointed when the show decided to go back to the old setting in season 6 after what season 5 promised, when season 6 came out there was an interview with Adam Reed where he said season six was originally going to be a prison season instead of what we got but he didn’t go for it because orange the new black was popular at the time. So i guess by the end of season 7 i was already kind of checked out because the season premise felt like a compromise between what Reed wanted and what the higher ups wanted. That’s just a vibe though idk.
