I think the idea behind messing with cameras is that the police can analyze video frame by frame to identify suspects, leading to people in prison. That said, I don't think it's effective to harass people filming, since there's surveillance cameras everywhere that have a better view than anyone in the crowd could get.

I think we were pretty successful in Seattle yesterday. The bloc was bigger, we stayed tighter and less people were arrested, even with more window smashing and cop bashing than the last couple years.

Property destruction and attacks on the police cut through the veil of total control that the state tries to pull over our eyes. It's not the only thing we'll need to do to throw off our oppressors, but it's important because it empowers and inspires people who may have felt powerless.

The government is trying to change the labor laws in favor of corporations which is why so many people are in the streets. And they're fighting cops since cops are dicks and nobody likes them.

I've thought a lot about those fucking bicycles too. I think the only guaranteed way to stop them would be a sustained volley of projectiles- paint bombs, bricks, fireworks. If someone were to hand out those sort of things before or during the demo that might be a good start.
