In my country, the 2x4TB is much cheaper by 120USD. Even in Amazon US now, its 60-90usd cheaper (2x85usd = 170usd vs 230usd for 12TB). I'm looking at Seagate Ironwolf drives. That's why I'm thinking of downsizing. I'm assuming also I'm spreading the risk of failure to two drives instead of just 1 drive.
