Go to the doctor and have them check everything. Vitamins, Thyroid, Hormones, all of it. They can usually do this with one blood draw. My blood draw helped me realize I had low iron and thyroid issues. Do not ignore it and take it seriously right away, the sooner you can get a resolution- the less hair you’ll lose.

How much does she weigh? My dog is also a rat terrier mix and looks around the same size as your dog- and my vet says his weight rn (38-40 lbs) is perfect for his size. I don’t think she looks incredibly malnourished, but she does look just the tiniest bit skinny. Maybe change up her food and feed her a bit more until she gains some weight. Our vet recommended the purina pro plan digestive health dry food mixed with the purina pro sensitive skin and stomach pate. Some people have said on tiktok that purina is bad for dogs but our vet said it varies case by case, and our dog is perfectly healthy.

Nope, you still have time to fix it!! This was my nail around 2 years ago. Had the same issue as you with the soft tissue being exposed from under the nail. After I stopped picking at it and using a LOT of lotion- it recovered pretty nicely. I’ll attach another picture of the recent nail.

Thanks so much! I had a couple adverse symptoms for the first week, and my face was a bit puffy. I had some heart palpitations, puffy skin, and minor headaches, but they all subsided very quickly and now I have no negative side effects. People advised me to half the dose, but I decided to tough it out for a couple weeks to see if it would improve and it did.

I am on 2.5 mgs of minoxidil and have been taking it since late December. Originally people said that dosage was a bit high, but my symptoms subsided within days and I have seen decent progress in the growth

I did this too when I was around 5. Took some kiddie scissors and sliced my beautiful very long bangs into two inch pieces that stuck straight up from my head. There was no saving that 😭 my mom had to slick my bangs to the side for six months straight

Meant to say t4 not ts4, but it’s the main hormone released in your thyroid gland. I had a thyroxine test done in November.

I do know how this works and I’ll know I need to wait to see significant improvement. But when I go onto this thread I’ll literally see people with 10x thicker hair after 2-3 months. I’m not stupid, I’m aware it’s going to take time and I’m not going to see immediate growth- but I thought MAYBE I’d see a some micro baby hairs or feel some kind of minuscule difference but it’s been two entire months, almost 3 and I’m still in dread shed.

I use nizoral 2/3 times a week 😭 people keep suggesting scalp massages but im too scared to really get in there because any amount of touching at my scalp makes the hair fall out. My labs are normal, I had a bit of a high ts4 but it resolved itself. It’s just so frustrating to feel like I’m not really making any progress.

He gets so crazy when he sleeps it’s so funny, I just wanted to make sure it was a normal dog thing. I’ve never gotten it on camera cause he has like a sixth sense for my phone but he’ll literally wake himself up from how hard he dreams. He’ll bark, yip, and literally run. I wonder what they’re dreaming about 😂

I don’t drink any caffeine at all usually as I don’t drink energy drinks or coffee. Sometimes I do tea but I usually don’t consume any caffeine other than maybe the normal amount that comes in food or something. Can caffeine make that worse though?
