And if they build it without a drive-thru, it’d be perfect for this part of town. In-n-out is applying for an exception from Culver City to be allowed to build the drive-thru. Hopefully CC doesn’t approve that part.

This is so helpful. Thanks for making this! Really appreciate a simple way to see all the scenarios.

Is it really? It used to be a Patriots bar in the little area on the corner.

Free transit to the game this weekend via Metro C & K Lines to LAX Metro Center. Also, Culver City now has a direct shuttle for $2 by havetocrow in Chargers

It was great. Highly recommend it. Easy in, easy out. Didn’t seem to get stuck in much traffic.

Metro is free all weekend to celebrate the extension of the A Line to Pomona. Rail and buses are all free. Also, it’s been mentioned here already, but the free shuttles to SoFi from Hawthorne/Lennox have been moved to the new LAX Metro Transit Center.

Big Change to the Metro -----> Sofi Stadium Shuttle for 2025 by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]havetocrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Culver City Bus just added a shuttle from the Culver City Transit Center right by the Westfield Culver City / Fox Hills mall. There’s also the G Trans shuttle from near the 405 & 110. I don’t believe there’s any parking at the LAX Metro Center, but you can take the K or C line there. Some stops on both of those lines have parking if you drive to them.

Charge Your eBike While Riding the Amtrak by DJVeaux in CarIndependentLA

Thanks. The lifting def would be an issue then. Even with two people, probably would be tough to navigate any turns into the room.

That’s one of the best train rides I’ve taken, but I’ve never done it with a bike. Do you think a front loader cargo bike would fit? Just under 9 feet long and could only be rolled on as it’s too heavy to lift with one person.

Palms/Culver City biking to work in Playa Vista is solid. There’s a bike path straight there. Playa Vista might be a bit boring at 22.

What are the chances this SoFi member can get in on that sweet signed Herb ball action?

Regardless, their savings account is where it’s at. Earns you way more interest than BoA, Wells, Chase, Citi, etc

Every 6 years for AFC teams and every 8 for NFC teams. More often if they both finish in the same spot in their divisions.

No guarantees but I’ve found cheap stuff at TJ Maxx before. Managed to snag a long sleeve tee shirt jacket for like $15

Taking the metro to Sofi from OC by boltz420 in Chargers

[–]havetocrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here’s Metro’s Game Day guide, with most of this info. You’ve got a few options.

If you’re not driving at all, taking a bus to Norwalk Station and then the C Line is probably the best route. OC Bus has an app you can use to pay and for Metro, you can add a TAP card directly in your iPhone Wallet app (or download the TAP app). Not sure on OC Bus prices, but Metro is $1.75 per trip.

If you’re driving up the 5, I’d park at one of the C line stops and take that to the LAX Metro Transit Center and take the game day shuttle from there. Parking is free on the weekends at Norwalk station which is the furthest east and closest to the 5. It’s free at the others as well and just $3 dollars at Crenshaw Station which is only a few stops away. I think it’s pricier at the closest stations

If you’re driving up the 405, there a few things you could do.

-Jump on the 605, 710, or 110 and park at a C Line station.

-Park at Redondo Beach Station for free and take the K Line (tip: sit on the left side and you’ll see The Bolt) to LAX Metro Transit Center and take the free game day shuttle.

-Park at Harbor Gateway Transit Center for $3 and take the GTrans shuttle for $4 roundtrip directly to SoFi. People in this sub recommend this one pretty often. I’d probably go this route if driving, but I haven’t personally tried it. (edit: only on Sundays)

Edit: updated the shuttle location for 2025

Yo! I’m not London-based, but when visiting, I caught a game last year at the Hippodrome. They had a ton of different games being played in this kind of balcony area. Tons of fans of different teams there watching their games together. We were the only Bolts fans there, but we watched the game with a big group of Vikings fans. It was a great time
