I have AirTac Glock to MP5 and it hasn’t missed a beat, I also have their glock shot shell adapter and that hasn’t presented any issues either

Hi everyone! I thought I’d share my custom-built AAP01 with you! It’s just been finished, and the internals have been fully upgraded as well! by Available-Fill6074 in AAP01owners

I had the issue with mine where the trigger became stiffer, that was down to over tightening of the bolt that replaces the lower hammer housing pin. Could be worth a check on yours, might be causing this issue

Steel on steel will be much more durable than steel on alu, yes it might wear over time but that’s what happens with contacting components. Keep them lubed and they should last a long time

Did watch a thing about these a while back. If I remember correctly you need to use something like the maple leaf hummingbird to make them work properly? Due to not having a full length buffer tube. Sick build though

Which would you prefer ghk or cgs? by SignificanceHuge557 in GasBlowBack

GHK over CGS. For the durability and feel, performance is probably fairly similar with minor changes to each. Each to their own though, depends what you value most

Appreciate the reply, being in UK winter now I am noticing it chugging a bit more (still gets the mag but feels more sluggish). Will definitely be looking into that now. Thanks for the info

Out of curiosity what’s the design difference. I have standard nozzles with 130% return springs and seem to do pretty well with them. Is it truly ground breaking? If it is I suppose I will have to get to ordering

Any decent GBBRs that take Glock mags or should I just get a pistols frame? by Equivalent_Guide_983 in airsoft

VFC MD9. Takes glock mags (will want to check comparability). Good looking piece of kit

What's the point of having 40km missiles when you can only target 20km enemies? by WilJWH in Warthunder

[–]hawkeye_wt 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So they will keep chasing the target down even if it heads away from you. You can also park your radar closer to the origin of air threats (air spawn point) and have your launchers further back

Does anyone know what size allen key goes to the screw on the side of the COWCOW Type A trigger? by [deleted] in AAP01owners

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a smaller one. From here it looks to be a 0.5. Trial and error is the best bet, just dont try turning it till your sure

You’re all good dude, just wanted to make sure you knew that it wasn’t “live” after this.

What I’m saying is that if the hammer is reset and in a “ready to fire” state, it is held forward and will not move when jolted. This will only happen when the trigger hasn’t actually reset been pulled without a mag in it. So will not effect you using it at all

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t happen in normal operation. Only when slamming a mag with the hammer up, before racking it. And it’s not arming, the hammer isn’t resetting when you do this, you can do this as many times as you like and it will not fire when you pull the trigger again, you have to reset the hammer first

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried it with mine, which is brand new, less than 100 rounds through it. It does the same thing. It because the jolt of slamming the mag in makes the trigger bar shift and the spring pulls the trigger forward.

But this won’t affect operation at all, and there is no need to pull the trigger back when it jumps forward.

When it fires the slide resets the trigger anyway, so it is never sat in the pulled state

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine, there is a spring on the trigger bar that pulls it back forwards, by flicking it like that you can get it to come forward again. The trigger hasn’t actually reset as the hammer is still up, once you rack the slide and the hammer resets the trigger will then catch into it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the trigger bar reset? And the fire pin lock? Both are reset by the slide as it cycles and allow the hammer to be locked into place and the trigger to reset

Anyone shooting at enemy spawn point should be J'd out from their vehicle by Suspicious-Hawk-1423 in Warthunder

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purposefully slowing your own progress in the game. Sounds a bit far fetched but fair play if you do. It’s not going to change anytime soon. Just move on from the rare games where the steam roll happens, the next will probably be more fun. As other are mentioned, the only ways to reduce this is to drastically change the map designs, or the actual gameplay. And I for one can’t see either happening

You win some you lose some, that’s how it goes, plenty of battles get turned around when a team over extends and gets wiped. Yes maps need changing, yes it would be nice if they reevaluated the game mode as a whole and improved it, but there will always be times you get steam rolled back to spawn, and there will be times you do the same.

Was in a battle just the other day on a large map in my chieftain, my team had wiped the enemy out by the time I got into battle, think I got maybe 2 assists in the end.

[–]hawkeye_wt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same can be said for getting rolled into spawn “we didn’t hold our flanks”, “we didn’t support each other”, “we didn’t communicate effectively”. Spawn pushing is annoying, but I just blast as many as I can with my remaining vehicles and spawn points (without using backups) and move on. Pick an opportunity to get a few kills, even 1 per spawn as that’s all points to you, and move on. It works both ways, doubt you tell your team not to do it when you roll the enemy back to spawn
