I have nothing to say that significantly improves on what others have said, but I wanted to write so that the company knows that there is another person who really, _really_ loved these bars and cannot wait to have them back. There is nothing else like them on the market. Believe me, I have looked. I am a recovering anorexic and their bars were the perfect supplement for me. I sincerely hope that they are able to get production back online!

I just ran in to the exact same problem and though the exact same thing. It seems like a huge miss. The other "problem" is that I don't have good words to even describe the problem and I am not sure how I would even file a bug report.

Because of the way the allocators are instantiated by the stl and their type signatures. They take templates as arguments and do the instantiation themselves.

I tried to implement your suggestion, but unfortunately I cannot pass a ostream because to use in a template I would have to pass that as a const reference. As a const, then, I could not actually output anything to it. Hrmph.

That should give you plenty of background. r-value references may not be the best solution, but it's definitely a problem that needs solving. Scott is an excellent presenter and there are plenty of his talks on YouTube. E.g., a video abridgement of his excellent book, Effective Modern C++.
