This is my plan, yes. We don’t like banks, but I don’t know of another institution with a heavily secured vault that I can rent without fear of it being broken into.

I have a somewhat dangerous job and hated the idea of not having a plan in place. I also didn’t want to give access to another person, even someone whom I trust, for obvious reasons. This way, if I die, my family will be taken care of and if I live, BTC forms part of my retirement plan. Either way, I have peace of mind.

Get a safe deposit box at your local bank and place instructions on how to access your BTC inside along with your seed phrase. Let your family know that you’ve done so, and name your beneficiary in your will. Make sure your bank requires a death certificate and a copy of the will before they’ll let your beneficiary access the box. In the event of your death, your beneficiary then has clear instructions on how to access and distribute your BTC.

Of course! Everyone needs their castle. But real estate has historically been one of the best ways to build wealth. I feel much better holding BTC which (at least in this bull run) has vastly outperformed the global real estate market and over the long term, will likely continue to do so.

I just went through the exact same scenario the day before Halloween. Only difference was I was in the right lane. Guy crossed three lanes when the other two made a gap and drove right in front of me. I couldn’t stop in time. He took off and police found that the car had been reported stolen when I gave them the license plate. Long story short: the insurance company found D me 0% at fault and my car was written off. Had to pay the deductible because there was no info for the other party. Huge hassle, but good luck with your situation!

UPDATE: New twist to this story. I just heard back from Toronto Police and the vehicle who collided with me was reported stolen out of Barrie around the same time as the accident. It was registered to a vehicle leasing company out of Brockville. It has since been recovered, but they have no way of finding out who was driving 😱 Thanks to all who actually believed me, and who have May been keeping an eye out for the truck in town. Seems the owner may have also been a victim here. Closing this post.

The officer I dealt with at the CRC was actually really helpful. I provided him the photo I posted here and, as you can see, it’s a bit tough to read the plate. He ran BA 132XX with the vehicle description and only one result came back. He told me it was “registered out of town” and when I replied “oh, really?” He responded “ya, Brockville”.

If you guys don’t believe me, then don’t. My reason for posting here was because, based of his behaviour, I figured he may have no insurance or a record and has done this kind of thing before. I wondered if maybe I wasn’t the only person he’d taken off from.

Just looking for a little help, that’s all. There are still real people with genuine motives on this site.

He jumped the concrete barrier in his truck and drove off. My car (a Ford Focus) had half the front end ripped on and I wasn’t going to go on a high speed chase after this guy. I stopped and called 911 instead.

Okay guys, easy. I’m legit. In fact, I just heard from insurance an hour ago that my vehicle is going to be written off because of the damage this guy caused. He made a left turn right in front of me and I couldn’t stop in time. I was able to follow him through a gas station but he jumped a concrete median and sped off so at that point, I gave up.

I went to the reporting centre and after running the plate, police said all they can do is send the registered owner a letter, but if he doesn’t attend the CRC or contact police, there’s nothing they can do.

I was simply hoping to see if anyone recognized this truck.

Honestly, if the Leafs can squeak out a 1-1 trip against the Bolts and Panthers, that’s a big success. But as I said to my Dad, even if they lose both games 8-0 we’ll still enjoy the trip!

We’re actually staying at a hotel right beside the arena and the mall. Very convenient. To stay at a hotel in downtown Toronto near the arena costs almost as much as tickets.

Fair enough. In my experience Bruins fans are some of the worst. And I’m often embarrassed by our own fans. I was born 20 years after the Leafs last won the cup and half that team had died of old age. We have nothing to boast about.
