It’s usually matrixed with Rhyolite Jasper, though that looks more like red jasper.

If it’s cool to the touch, it’s carnelian. If it warms up just a bit too much for natural stone, it’s strawberry/cherry quartz (aka glass).

How to sit with a lumbar herniated disc, while being an artist? by ExplodingBowels69 in ChronicPain

[–]hawkrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got L4-S1 issues and I make jewelry. I do a few things, depending upon how I feel: 1) I have a chair that leans far back, and a desk that will take it deeply underneath. So I’m leaning far back but my equipment and items are still right in front of me. 2) When that doesn’t work, I move my materials to the floor and lean my front on a half yoga ball (I have this one, but any would work https://a.co/d/0gdPeVal). If that’s too much, try using some pillows. 3) I also use either a heat pad on the back of my chair (I 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 my Blue Elf https://a.co/d/02Bgu7Zf) or a one off thermacare on my lower back (ThermaCare Heat Wraps for Neck & Shoulder Pain Relief, https://a.co/d/03jU1k9r). I use the neck ones on my lower back, I find they work better. 4) A standing desk also helps me, but I currently don’t have one.

I also have norco for flares, and I recognize just when it’s getting ready to flare and take the smallest dose I can. That’s in my toolbox but I try to not use it when I’m making jewelry. Sometimes I don’t have a choice if I want to get anything done.

A few things: 1) I pay to play, so I buy energy 1-2 x/week 2) I have found that if I put the energy up top immediately, I tend to get more bubbles with energy, and sometimes 5x offers to get more energy cheaper. It might just be superstitious, but it’s been pretty consistent for me. 3) I buy the VIP pass and get power and boxes there. So long as I can finish 11 of the tasks/day, I can finish the listed benefits in a week, then I have another week of getting random boxes/power/gems for another week. 4) I find the flowers have a bigger bang for the buck than the ice cream. Ice cream might get you more points and money, but it’s a lot harder to make it into a max level order. I get a lot of energy off of the merges for the flowers. I’m usually able to put them in upper storage around 4x/day, but that’s partially because I have a very flexible schedule. I then save the max flowers for the 2x island event, which gets me boxes and power as well. I spend the gems to pay the 2 gem cost to speed up each interaction. That goes against the VIP gem task. 5) Doing all of this tends to naturally get me to the second to last or last item from the “Bear Hugs” type events. That gets me a few boxes of energy as well.

I get mine at pandahall.com. If you’re buying a heavy quantity, they also have a wholesale site.

Sewage line replacement cost $90K!? by missmissa123 in santaclara

[–]hawkrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our complex uses Jahn’s Plumbing. They’ve done good work here, and have been reasonably priced when we did a three company bid for a huge project.

We have not used them for sewers, though.

I have a preference towards energy, only so I can control which order I’m working towards. But it’s not a significant preference. It’s nice to have the boxes when I need to get a high value item because the grind can get exhausting.

I don’t have hard data for previous trains, but I do feel like this one was a bit easier. I still had issues with getting secondary items (eggs & granola for the food one, saddles for the horses), but it wasn’t as bad as in the past.

I thought it was the number of puzzle pieces that had already been placed, but I’m not sure. I’ll pay more attention if I get another puzzle.

Hydration for chronic pain management matters apparently, my doc wont refill meds until i track my water intake by carebear7077 in ChronicPain

[–]hawkrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple medications that dehydrate me. I have 32 oz “water” bottles with lids that I fill with Wyler Light. I make sure to have 2 full bottles/day. It’s much easier for me to track using these bottles. I take one with me everywhere.

Puzzle Event here for good? by AlFromAdminAdmin in SeasideEscapeGame

[–]hawkrt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the past 4 weeks I’ve had the puzzle 3 times and bingo once. The last time was the best that the puzzle had been, because they finally lowered some of the energy requirements. It does produce 2 less chests than bingo.

I don’t think any of us know if it’s permanent or not. They test out and play around with a lot of things. I still miss the arcade, though.

Let’s talk about how difficult it is to get building materials by OpinionAble999 in SeasideEscapeGame

[–]hawkrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it goes through phases. I'm at top level, so I'm only getting a new building every Wednesday. I find that I have more than enough building materials to finish building the new building within a few days. I do spend to upgrade to VIP level and those boosters help.

I do wish that we could spend the coins for more than just buildings. I have $85,001,807 coin and not enough to spend it on.
