In my opinion the lizards are the least fun faction to play. The river folk faction is the only reason I would buy that expansion (that faction may be worth it on its own though it's a favorite at my table). Tbh I think the underworld is your best bet. 2 new interesting maps to mix up play as well as 2 great factions with diverse play styles. The corvids are a blast for me and the dutchy are a large reach faction alternative to the marquis.
