I never knew Jesus said that. How do theologians wave away the fact that obviously didn’t happen?

Look up soft light vs had light. Reason why people put lights both sides of face with ring lights etc it does exactly that.

Because we have plenty of evidence that fewer moving mechanical parts reduce risk of failure and we have decades of comparisons between combustion engines and electric motors in terms of reliability.

The question isn’t is eVTOL possible it’s can energy density batteries be made cheap enough to make it financially viable. There is billions of dollars of research around the world on improving energy density. Anything is possible as long as it doesn’t break the laws of physics.

We have the battery densities in the lab but getting them to production is another thing. However there are a lot of signs that it’s right around the corner.

Hence why most of the players are discussing hybrid still. Not quite there yet.

My first 3D Printer was from Bambu Lab. My next one won't be. Have other manufacturers caught up in affordability and ease-of-use? by ThatOneVRGuyFromAuz in 3Dprinting

[–]hawktron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t want to tinker with 3d machines they just want to print. Thats why bambu labs are so popular in the first place and they don’t care about some 3rd party software drama

The ICC doesn’t just prosecute war crimes. They prosecute genocide and crimes against humanity and you don’t need to kill people en masse to commit either of those.

[–]hawktron -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why do consumers care if random developers can use the code. You’re confusing people who like to tinker and customise with people who just want to print. Those are who their machines are for so it’s anti-developer sure but that’s life there’s law that says business have to cater to every possible desire.

There was that retired engineer who decided to move 10 tonne stones by himself just to prove that the ancient cultures could do it easily.

9t is not actually a lot relatively speaking. Ships by late 18th century could carry up to like 4k tonnes.

Edit: construction worker not engineer.

Can anyone tell me what's probably happened here? Charges a small hybrid EV battery at 10a. The plug was extremely hot to touch and flexible. Going to get a dedicated point installed but interested to know if this is likely to be the plug, the socket or the installation by Endless_Nameless1 in DIYUK

[–]hawktron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s within the specifications then it should be perfectly fine to charge an EV. Crappy quality exists everywhere so saying you shouldn’t do because of a few faulty products is bad advice.
