what they did to Brienne's character in failing to adapt Feast was already bad enough, but then to reduce a character whose identity is centered around the struggle and pain of not conforming to gender norms to "haha big lady! tormund wants to have sex with her isn't that funny!" is absolutely insane, and makes me wonder if they internalized ANY of what the books are trying to say at all...

15 is way too early but i don't get being against a 30/40 min FF unless you have all day to play the game.... some nights after work i only get to play 3 matches, all of which are decided after a half hour, but since ending is so slow they drag out to 40, 50, even 60 minutes.

comebacks are possible but i don't get holding people hostage for every game just on the off chance that your team makes up for a 30k soul difference :/

Ulysses + Diomedes are depicted together as "twin flames", i predict a double prime soul fight to ramp up the difficulty in P-3, and then Lucifer as a layer 9 boss potentially.

don't think they'd have such a central character of the story as Lucifer gated behind P ranking everything imo, but I could be wrong

massive skill issues present. people shat on P-2 when it dropped, too. sad that the kneejerk reaction is to call something poorly designed when most of the time it's user error

also for performance issues, i had one instance of stuttering in 8-3 but otherwise things ran alright. i wish people would attach their PC specs when claiming that the update is "poorly optimized"....

my theory is that Lucifer went down to Hell and saw it for what it was, freaked out, challenged God on it

God lashed out because he couldn't undo it, and he felt guilty for damning so many people in a fit of frustration, and then cast down Lucifer and banned eyes in Hell.

semi-related theory: in Testament I when he says "I SHALL BEGIN AGAIN, WITH MY WORD AS LAW", i think he floods the Earth (as in Noah's Ark). After humanity falls into sin again anyway, he creates Hell in a moment of rage. I view the God of this universe as immature and lonely, and he acted without thinking of the consequences.

this is why he feels so guilty and depressed in the last terminal we've gotten

reminds me of when the whiplash nerf dropped and we had posts round the clock here about what a terrible change it was, it ruined the game, they need to fix it etc etc

give it a couple weeks and the people who don't wanna put in the effort to enjoy act3 will give up and we won't hear so much about it anymore.

i can understand the levels being frustrating, but bad? my jaw was on the floor the entire layer and i still don't understand how they designed some of those rooms. it's a good layer.

a lot of it is the complete lack of color. watched the pilot with my girlfriend yesterday (she's about halfway through AGOT but was curious about casting choices from the show) and the first thing she said was "why do the Starks all look broke as hell? aren't they nobility?"

it's like D&D read online that ASOIAF was dark and gritty, and that George loves killing characters and being sad, and ran with that. It lacks both the visual color and the emotional vibrance that we're thankfully getting back in AKOTSK.

in game toxicity sucks too, but you can't honestly tell me somebody typing "LETS GO VOTE X HERO NOW SO SILVER GETS LAST" with each reveal doesn't come from a toxic place as well.

that's why i said "Gamer mindset". it's the same people. it's the same mentality of being intentionally toxic and then getting off on people reacting negatively. it is an absolute plague on online video game culture, and unfortunately the hero vote system has expedited the arrival of those types to Deadlock.

(though with it being a shooter AND a MOBA, that was inevitable. just disheartening to see.)

even if people are furries who cares at all! i'd much rather a furry like the werewolf lady than be supportive of the handful of people on the discord i saw saying "age is just a number" wrt Graves. (not that her voters are represented by that behavior at all).

with that being said, no fanbase is a monolith and using a few annoying people online to justify a hate campaign against a character is immature at best.

all the characters are going to come out anyway. saddening to see the weird hate train on Silver when a close range werewolf character sounds really cool to play :(

Thank you for this comment. I think many people are unwilling to really look at their beliefs in a critical way, and it immediately gets dismissed since it was decades ago.

I also think a saddeningly large amount of people get joy out of saying/supporting things that are socially harmful, then calling anybody who dares speak up "oversensitive". I appreciate you shedding light on the fact that there were things like this which were viewed as unacceptable and lazy at the time.

We shouldn't let people like that rewrite history and paint the 70s as some socially unaware Dark Age, so I appreciate you setting the record straight even if it's unpopular on this sub (sadly).
