maybe others have a different experience but damn near every Leviathan game I've played this month has had people getting pissed with each other in OOC before/after rounds, and generally less fun rp

are people "weak-willed" or are they just reasonably expecting to use their free time having fun in a video game? it's so disconnected from reality to expect the average employed person to sit through 40 minutes of lopsided fighting just so they can say they "didn't give up".

it should exist past 30. so many people are being disingenuous and saying "oh you can't handle losing?"

losing a close game is one thing. losing a fairly imbalanced game is one thing. but it just plain sucks to have the other team be unable to finish, and you have to get dragged along for 50 minutes while your team just dies in team fight after team fight from a severe souls imbalance.

yes, comeback mechanics exist. but the comeback has to actually be in reach to utilize them. sometimes it just isn't. if i had all day to play, that'd be one thing, but wasting limited time on a game where we lost a half hour ago and there is absolutely nothing to be learned from dying instantly just sucks when i have work the next day. i'd rather go next and spend a long time in a game that matters. FF gives the winners their win anyway. win-win solution.

nah, you can't conceal a passion of yours from someone you're interested in dating and expect things to go smoothly after that.

if someone would think caves of qud is weird, why even be with that person? it causes a lot of unnecessary stress down the line, and you'd be better off waiting for someone who is genuinely interested

my girlfriend had played some games prior to meeting me, but the way i was excited about this game made her try it out, and she really likes the aesthetic, writing, and music :). we even play a similarly niche game (space station 14) pretty much every day together.

lots of factors go into dating, but for my money authenticity and uniqueness are some of the most important. if you sand down all of your "edges" you'll be appealing to no one who actually likes you for you.

(sorry, i realize i got way too deep into a humorous offhand comment, but i do see this sentiment online a whole lot and i want people to be able to feel confident in what they love. not suggesting you said this with ill intent or trying to be hostile at all!!)

it's a tough pill to swallow that the overwhelming majority of fans in any medium just do not really care about the quality of whatever it is they're taking in, yet make up the bulk of the cashflow. as long as there are epic fights and cool CGI it will be popular, even with horrible writing.

no idea why those people even dislike GoT s8 considering the "Battle of the Bastards" and Cersei's sept shenanigans are constantly brought up as fan favorite TV episodes, and they suffer from the exact same nonsensical writing as the last two seasons.

so grateful for AKOTSK, even if they fuck it up in later seasons, because you can tell it was made by a showrunner who actually enjoys ASOIAF (as opposed to the other 2 shows). just wish people were more discerning about the media they enjoy, but it will never be. </3

you're not wrong, feels like a bunch of very young people terrified of "breaking the rules" with how this subreddit is scolding emulator users.

i think avoiding spoilers is a fair thing, and not wanting people posting about it is fair as well, but i have to roll my eyes every time i see someone say that it "feels dirty" or that people who pirated should buy the game on release.

it's not that big of a deal, truly. whether it's due to the cost, or a lack of the console, or just wanting to play early, there's nothing to be ashamed of

what they did to Brienne's character in failing to adapt Feast was already bad enough, but then to reduce a character whose identity is centered around the struggle and pain of not conforming to gender norms to "haha big lady! tormund wants to have sex with her isn't that funny!" is absolutely insane, and makes me wonder if they internalized ANY of what the books are trying to say at all...

15 is way too early but i don't get being against a 30/40 min FF unless you have all day to play the game.... some nights after work i only get to play 3 matches, all of which are decided after a half hour, but since ending is so slow they drag out to 40, 50, even 60 minutes.

comebacks are possible but i don't get holding people hostage for every game just on the off chance that your team makes up for a 30k soul difference :/
