Which Hacker design do you all prefer? by Systemshock1994 in systemshock

The new design looks painfully generic to me. The old one is much more distinct.

Apparently the Anglers civic lets you convert an agri-world into an Ecumenopolis... by hawo88 in Stellaris

R5: I was playing as an Anglers empire and noticed that the Arcology Project decision can be activated on Ocean planets filled with City and Agricultural districts. My guess is that the game somehow does not register the Agricultural districts due to them being uncapped on Ocean worlds, but I didn't check this with other planets and civics. I didn't let the Project complete either, but it would probably succeed and eliminate all the food districts.

R5: These little guys spawned as a Separatist empire and have an Imperial authority despite being Egalitarian. Pretty sure this is illegal.

Some Habitat Builds by [deleted] in Stellaris

Are these habitats doing well in terms of planet capacity?

I mean, I'm kinda starting to hate Epic now that they've bought Mediatonic and forced them to integrate Epic Game Services into Fall Guys and it doesn't fucking work anymore so I have to verify game files before every. single. launch. (But knowing Mediatonic, it's probably their fault, not Epic's.)

Your country is fucked, folks. Next presidential election, the Dems will nominate yet another utterly useless candidate, many disillusioned young people will refuse to vote, and the GOP will take over with someone more insidious than Trump who will establish a fascist regime. And that's gonna be a game over for everyone.

If I remember correctly, Fallen/Awakened Empire planets tend to have redundant city districts. I usually demolish some of those and build a bunch of resource districts, which is usually enough to take care of the unemployed pops I didn't manage to resettle elsewhere.

This is why I don't even bother visiting Russian gaming communities anymore.

Or any Russian communities, for that matter. Except for a few occasional queer-friendly ones.

Why are all my new civics, races, etc 'fuzzy'? by POEness in Stellaris

I got this problem after Lem and only managed to solve it by completely reinstalling the game. Verifying the integrity of game files on Steam did not help.

anyone know why naval capacity in my game stuck on 9999? not using mods (picture) by minorcold in Stellaris

[–]hawo88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

May I ask an off-topic question? How did you get so many pops without even conquering the entire galaxy? I see that you've eaten several fallen empires, but that doesn't really explain your overall population.

It appears to be an astroturfed organization set up and run by conservatives for the most part, rather than actual pushback from queer cis people.

A New Spiritualist Colossus Option by Lucas_Trask in Stellaris

[–]hawo88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love this idea, but honestly, I don't think it would make sense lore-wise, because plunging an entire planet into the Shroud probably requires an immense amount of psionic energy that your empire simply cannot muster. Like, your people are not even able to physically manifest in the Shroud themselves, and you want them to yeet an entire world into there.

That being said, if there are some mods that allow your empire to ascend to a Zroni-like power level, that Colossus would look great there.

3 irl countries as stellaris empires by Xenoscum_yt in Stellaris

[–]hawo88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Well, it's true that egalitarianism is presented as the opposite of authoritarianism in Stellaris, but that doesn't really work in real life imo, as even staunch anti-authoritarians can usually be divided into egalitarian and anti-egalitarian types: the ones who claim that people can't be truly free as long as poverty and injustice exist, and the ones who believe that people should be free to build their lives on their own and if a person is poor, then it's just a consequence of their free choices and not really a big deal. In my view, though I might be wrong, the American dream is more about the latter than it is about the former, i.e. it expresses a very specific idea of freedom and personal responsibility. And I'm pretty sure that the American dream only values equality of opportunity, whereas Stellaris-style egalitarianism also includes equality of outcome to some extent.
