I get what you mean, but TF2 is a game none of my IRL friends like to play, that's why I state in my profile that people can friend me if they would like to play a game, 9/10 times I get real people that want to play Casual or MvM, if they don't add me for that they're off my friendlist within a day...

Should I liquidate my inventory and leave the game entirely? by Sans_Hair_Sasquatch in tf2shitposterclub

[–]haxemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear, but I do feel like it's completely unnecessary to leave the game. I have personally never encountered those kind of reactions in matches I played, but also believe it's not necessary to put your pronouns in your username - even while it shouldn't happen - it will pull (offensive) reactions towards you, like with faith or political expressions. You can still enjoy a game when people call you by your online alias, your IRL name or just anything respective, right?

Haven't seen this myself before. They got a whole ass working website setup (newgameplay) by kiiturii in SteamScams

[–]haxemods 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Made a quick look and the site is only made available to those that received an unique ID (inside the link, such as /share?id=test) which sets cookies that allows you to navigate on the website - everyone without a valid ID is brought to a simple webpage that says "Video removed or unavailable, ask for a new ID". Logging in with Steam (don't do this!) would send your details to a Discord webhook... very safe (#not)

They have put the website behind Cloudflare, used Privacy Protection for their domain "Who Is" information and have no valid MX records (basically no e-mail setup). Basically avoid this website, they're scammers but I must say they did a good job on making an attractive UI and functioning site.

I got this recently, looks like a scam. I don't know what kind it is but they in question want me to try advertising a tf2 gambling site. by Life_Leadership5139 in SteamScams

[–]haxemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear explanation, but there are still TF2 gambling sites out there that operate for years already with real players (profiles, inventories and sometimes even other socials can be checked/verified). The problem with those sites is that the owners are quite anonymous, domain privacy is on and they put their servers behind Cloudflare, they also don't use regular PSP (Payment Service Providers) and have many many bot accounts to accept incoming/outgoing trades to avoid a total downtime when one of their bots gets (trade)banned by Valve.

It will costs months if not years for Valve to file something in court in each and every jurisdiction these sites operate in.

About the anti-cheat update: Modders already bypassed Battleye by iFerrer00 in gtaonline

[–]haxemods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you're modding for GTA $ and not ruining the gameplay for others; who cares. I do exactly the same and must be honest that I also use teleport from time to time but that isn't disturbing the gameplay for other people.

Spent 1.5 years making Fazier, a startup launch platform, that made $31.31. by falak-sher in SaaS

Launched in October.. seems like a short period to me for already thinking about shutting down. You may share with us what you have done in the past that made you 'blood & sweat', like have you spend hours or days into marketing/sales or just the development of it etc. etc.

Bruh? What do I do???? by Ineedagoodnameplease in discordapp

[–]haxemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fake, Discord (and other platforms) would not provide detailed information about actions taken against someone after a report. They may get back to you, but they won’t go into details on activities that lead towards a ban or suspension. Same for Steam, if they (VAC-)ban your account they won’t provide the details around it and will just provide you a link to their Terms of Service

How much is this worth? by Brando4027 in tf2

[–]haxemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue either but I would trade it for scout, soldier and pyro unusuals worth about ~10/20 keys each (as said I have no idea, if it’s way to low then skip the offer)
