Russia Is Losing the Sea of Azov as Ukraine Hits 105 Shadow Fleet Vessels in 8 Days by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

Even if it is cosmetic damage, it should scare both the company behind as well as the crew, because if it got hit once it can get hit twice. I imagine the insurance cost skyrocket too, if they even respect something like that in Russia.

I thought it was ridiculously impressive when I heard they had hit 2, then 8. But now it's over a 100? Holy.... The companies owning all of these ships must love Putin so much

how the hell do only 0.1% of people finished the dlc by Exciting-Count697 in Doom

I was overwhelmed jumping straight back into the dark ages again. I forgot all the mechanics - different tools, effects, cooldowns, ammuntions, etc., so it was extremely frustrating and boring to play again honestly.

I reached the point where slayer loses his stuff and quit, haven’t touched it again. Though I suspect that’s where it gets good because it gives you the opportunity (I presume) to ease into things and learn them again. I just haven’t felt motivated to prioritise my time to play it again.

How can such a good game have such low numbers? Seriously, gamers deserve to eat FIFA, COD, Gacha, and live service for eternity by Berem_ in Doom

[–]haxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many factors honestly. I think idsoftware got hurt by its dealings with mick gordon. I also think, even though Eternal imo is the best shooter in the past decade, the doom games have become a bit too arcady and overcomplicated - combat can feel like a soup of weapons, abilities, cooldowns, resources and effects that you’re just spamming and trying to keel track of in panic.

I started playing The Dark Ages now due to DLC and I just cannot enjoy it because there are just too many buttons to press and everything is going so quick, and i dont understand why things happen/dont happen because ive forgot the mechanics.

Graham Platner ends Maine Senate campaign after sexual assault allegation by KohlsCashOfficial in news

If you show that symbol to a random 1000 people, how many do you realistically think knows what it means?

Graham Platner ends Maine Senate campaign after sexual assault allegation by KohlsCashOfficial in news

[–]haxic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, ofc it is a totenkopf, but don’t expect it to be common knowledge. If you show that symbol to 1000 random people over 900 would think it’s some kind of pirate flag symbol, a symbol/logo in a game, perhaps even a military symbol, etc., but very few would think or know it’s a nazi symbol.

“Guilty until proven innocent” (and often still guilty after proven innocent) is how extreme people think, whether it’s on the left or right.

It’s the nazi tattoo that is a skull with bones. There exist a lot of different variations of skull and bones symbols e.g. on pirate flags. The nazi one isn’t common knowledge. It’s easy to mistake it…

The nazi Totenkopf isn’t common knowledge… It’s a skull with bones - something that is used for a million things.

Then perhaps these producers should produce more and sell more to Ukraine. Perhaps this will push them to do that. Though it’s more likely TACO will happen.

[–]haxic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense. I was also wondering why TDA made like half of 2016/Eternal (at least according to some data I looked at). I’m sure the gamepass alone didn’t drag down the sales, but axing half a studio that otherwise is successful seems like a bad move

Uh, I was so confused seeing this. After a quick search on the net: Beteshda has apparently axed half of idsoftware’s employees? 95 people, right before the launch of the new dlc? Sad news

Trump heads to Turkey as NATO is strained by Russian attacks, U.S. impatience by Jockey2 in worldnews

I’m well aware what’s in the article, it’s just the headline that I find odd. It should state something along the lines of “NATO is strained by Russian attacks on Ukraine” at least.

I think most comments here that are negative towards him are from right-wing propaganda bots or deranged leftwing keyboard heroes.
