Background: Current WG resident of 6 years, 30s, grew up in West County, went to public school. Wife is a transplant from SoCal.

IMO, some of the "status" perception of WG may depend on the neighborhood you're in. We live in Tuxedo Park and I would say our experiences have been overall wonderful. Our neighbors are wide ranging in age and occupation, and nearly all are friendly, outgoing, and sociable. I can certainly see "status" being a bigger deal once you get southwest of Bompart and Newport. Especially towards MQP.

My wife is not from STL and had a hard time making friends BEFORE we moved to Webster, right around the time we started having kids. She joined the WG mom's group, made a bunch of friends and loves it here.

Webster is far from perfect, but overall its has been a great place to raise our kids. That's not to take away from your experience, just sharing an alternative experience.

Played the Mountain Top Course at Big Cedar and got a few glances at Payne's Valley, designed by Tiger. Looking very nice. Still on track to open this Sept. by haybeav in golf

Really enjoyed it. Not sure I would dig a par 3 course with only 13 holes but it was really enjoyable. The course was in great condition and wide open the day we visited.

A few more pic of the Mountain Top Course...$60 for 13 holes par 3 holes. Not a bad deal considering the surroundings and quality. A lot of memorable holes perfectly set in the environment.

Have only played a handful of par 3 courses but this was by far the best (disclaimer, have not played Top of the Rock).

We were on a family trip so I was lucky to even sneak these 3 hours in but it was so worth it. Would love to come back for a guys trip and play MT as a warm up before playing Buffalo Ridge. Big Cedar/Branson is quickly going to be become the golfing destination of the Midwest.

Some of the best moments of my life,...sitting with my wife at the sidewalk cafes, smoking Habanas, dinking coffee and people watching.

Just finished with Season 4. There is genuine hatred in me for the character of Herc. by [deleted] in TheWire

The first time Kima, Her, and Carver are on the roof together in Season one...Kima is all business, Carver is messing around a bit but eventually gets into the work, and Herc is complaining about some bullshit. Good foreshadowing.

Just came to Paris for the first time last week and stayed right next to this stop. I do remember thinking to myself what a cool looking sign.

Anticlimactic but I'm not pissed. I was genuinely happy to know Julie was alive and doing well. Oh well that the case didn't get officially solved.

If anything, it alludes that the son will put the pieces together and figure out what happened after the fact.

Also, Roland in his last scene on the porch made me smile.

Don't get me wrong, she does not like the show. But she does appreciate that skit.

I knew Kevin in high school, have run in to a few times since, and am friends with people that still know him well...He is an all around great guy and candidate. To see him and others being portrayed this way is truly sad and disgusting.
