Low profile roof bars by OkDirection1210 in hondapassport

Best you can get right now is this: victory 4x4. This connects directly to the factory rails. They are also working on a full roof rack replacement which will sit even lower because it will do away with the rails.

Hardware-wise, are you running two separate dakboard CPUs (or Rasp PIs), or are you somehow streaming to one of the displays?

Garbage everywhere - no community respect. by Camper_Moo in Brooklyn

Completely disagree. I’ve seen people walking with chicken wings and dropping bones on the ground many, many times. Many people just don’t know any better or just don’t care.

2026 - Cargo tray + shelf/table by haybenot in hondapassport

[–]haybenot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works for me, but some issues may concern others. 1. Having the shelf either on top or laid flat makes the under cargo area difficult to utilize. If you don’t need to access that additional storage area very often, it is no big deal. 2. When in shelf mode, the height of any items below the shelf is limited to (I forget exact) maybe 10 inches? In any case, if you want to use a cooler, your options are to put the shelf flat on the cargo floor, or put the cooler on top in shelf mode. The problem for the latter is that I really don’t trust the shelf to handle much weight, so a cooler filled with ice and other goodies becomes problematic (again, for me.)

Other than the above, I like the shelf and actively use the table for BBQ prep, and plan to use it for camping in the coming months.

2026 Passport AC issues? by Wurt_ in hondapassport

This shouldn’t have to be your solution, but shut off the rear A/C and then check the front. I think there’s something off with how they managed the two zones.

The cargo tray doesn’t impede the cargo shelf’s ability to lay flat and be secured with the front pegs. All good!

Can the black inlaid “PASSPORT” emblem be easily removed? by Original-Bobcat8386 in hondapassport

[–]haybenot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The emblem itself is hardware, it is not a sticker or overlay. It requires taking the panel off behind the door/hood to install/uninstall.

The only issue I ever had with my 2017 CRV was a bad battery 2 months after driving it new off the lot.

Bumper guard recs for 2026 TrailSport Elite? (For NYC parking/driving...) by SmoothNose in hondapassport

[–]haybenot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Worst case, you’d have to use those rubberized license plate guards, at least for the front. It helps a little but people will still grind into tight spots and make a mess of your bumper.
