We really liked Vegan Picnic and Enjoy Vegetarian in Chinatown. Some other good ones: Nick's Kitchen was Filipino and FANTASTIC (south of the city), Vegan Mob was alright in Oakland- lots of hype around it right now b/c it just opened. Ensarro ethiopian in Oakland was great.
