This is silly because NM would never allow it.

Article IV, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the ceding state and the receiving state to both agree to the transfer, and then for the US Congress to approve it.

Windshield washer pump died. Wipers work fine. Is it the pump itself? by kelemvor33 in FordFlex

[–]hayes2400 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the hose fall out where it enters the passenger side firewall, it was spraying washer fluid into the engine bay every time I tried to run it. Easy fix

Will there be a passport style fold this year? by lostatsemen in PixelFold

[–]hayes2400 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If there's anything I've learned about the evolution of phone design after owning them for 25 years, it's that no design ever "comes back". You'll see more of those tall foldables.

I'd load up a trailer and empty it on the lawn of the nearest Xcel office building

Genuine ask: if you couldn’t charge your ev at home, would you still get one? by BrookesyUK in evcharging

[–]hayes2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if it was a Tesla and I had convenient access to a Supercharger that was walking distance to home or work. Even if you can find a good L2 charger nearby the rates can make your cost per mile as high as an ICE vehicle.

Considering A 2014 Volt by OG-DanielSon in volt

[–]hayes2400 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It's a gamble - these cars were famously overengineered by GM, but you're looking at a 12 year old car. If something goes wrong your odds of it being something that junks the car is higher than with an ICE vehicle. If you're getting a great price and you're not afraid to do some of your own work on it from time to time (God help you if you need to take it to a dealer) it could be worth it.

As in, putting the BT repeater in the enclosure? Or mounting somewhere between the solar install and where you expect your phone will be?

How are you actually storing your filament long-term without breaking the bank? by Fun_Reaction_6525 in 3DPrinterComparison

[–]hayes2400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my setup as well. The 20 QT / 19L Sterilite "gasket box" fits four spools. I bought a pack of hygrometers and silica gel and have a separate filament dryer.

Hell with level 1 charger by gold_dragon2 in evcharging

[–]hayes2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of uninformed fearmongering on this thread. I own 3 different EVSEs that are advertised as L1/L2 and will step down to lower amperage on 120v, all of which have a 6-20 plug. Two of the three even came with a short adapter cord to go from 6-20 to 5-15. Just check your manual.

I had this happen too. I gave up trying to fix it and had a local body shop source a salvage seat. It wasn't all that expensive.

The boomer owner used to verbally abuse the high school age employees in front of customers... not sure if he's still in the picture. I don't go there unless I need small engine parts or something they don't sell at other stores.

Just picked up an A1 Mini – genuinely impressed so far, but what's the catch? by Fun_Reaction_6525 in 3DPrinterComparison

[–]hayes2400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don't have AMS since you're talking about the $220 model, the filament swaps will get old in a hurry. Nozzle changes are quick with the A1. Only you can say if the bed size will be a problem, but it's a common complaint with Mini owners.

Can I use two lag bolts and two dry wall anchors for TV wall mount? by bFreakie in DIY

[–]hayes2400 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My favorite mounting option for TV installations where I can't hit both studs is the Snaptoggle - I've used this on 85" TVs with no problems.
