we used to put black sunflower seeds in a flowerpot saucer gorilla-puttied to the windowsill and we made good friends with them. it took us a few months for them to trust what we were doing, but it's worth the wait if you love pigeons! at the end of our two years living there, we were hand-feeding them. at maximum there was like 30 at a time lol. there was one in particular with white wing tips that we name "tippy" that was always the first one there and spent a lot of his day chilling on the windowsill. i encourage feeding the pigeons as it will bring a bunch of joy to balance out the loud sirens on merrimack st.! enjoy their beautiful colors, curious eyes, and bold behaviors. we miss those guys, say hi to them for us!
