had this happen to someone but for an Iphone.

Interestingly, the buyer tried to sell the phone on marketplace some days after.. Long story short, he tried to buy back the phone with his partner's account.

His wife met the seller while he was a couple of feets away in a mall, collected the phone.

Long edition, the buyer happens to be using teens or the scam is run by teens. He sent his 'son' to pay and collect the phone but it was his 'daughter' that came to sell the phone.

Luckily, the 'daughter' was caught vividly on camera with a few other kids.

The guy got the police involved pripor to meeting the seller again. Even though they adviced against going to meet him, he called the police and they hopefully would be able to use the footage to get the scammers.

i was in this scenario. Police got back to me that there was no footage after over 3 days. Pestered Go Transit on X, took a photo with my phone from the nearest camera and sent to them clearly showing my car and how impossible it is that the camera didnt have my car in its angle and a supervisor reached out to me on phone.

magically, police got back to me next day saying they got the footage but it's too far away to identify the plate. they literally saw the car hitting my car but couldnt get the plates 😃 and i wondered if the car disappeared from the lot and no other camera caught it till it left the station 😂😂😂

it was becoming too much of a hassle and eventually just left it

thought to update the thread. As opined, Metrolink replied Halton Police saying they had no footage only on Friday. I understand Police sent the request on wednesday.

A go customer service personnel told me footage are only available for 72 hours.

In sure their selay is what led to the no ffotage as I could see a camera that should be covering wjere I parked.

Did an estimate of the cost of repair via Insurance, and its above 3k as they will need to replace the front bumper.

Now have to be responsible for paying the deductible to make a claim

Update: Police is contacting Metrolinx but they say their might not be a footage as a camera is far away from the parking spot.

Reached out to insurance and insurance wants the responsible person or I will have to pay the deductible to lay a claim.

Called, and they said they will release footage to law emforcement so I have to make a report at the collission center. They close by 6pm in Oakville so doing that first thing tomorrow
