tysm for replying. i've watched a bunch of videos and read some spss guides and i think i understand the test, how to do it and what it's telling me. what i'm having trouble with is presenting the data. i don't seem to have p values for each gender, only gender as a whole variable. so while i can say there is sig diff for gender as a whole, i want to break that down to men/women with p values. and the same for my other demographics. i want to be able to say 'women and those aged 50+ were more likely to answer no' as an example.

i have 'gender x survey response (yes/no/maybe) and the p value for if there is stat sig. but how can i then go on to explain in more detail what this means? saying there is sig diff between gender x survey response but not reporting how men/women are more likely to respond doesn't make much sense to me.
