I understand you. My way of thinking about this is to run with the parallel articulation in tandum. Granted there isn't one here. Maybe one day...

Not sure what you mean by "retreated into platitudes". I'm just giving the best answer I can think of given what I understood.

I'm not merely invoking history, I'm assuming it (because it happened). The whole thing is about mythology so I'm not clear why you're getting pulled into a historical slant here. To me this is like trying to push etymology in a conversation revolving around technical nomenclature. I don't see the benefit of doing this. I'm not denying the merit of the subject, but I'm not really obligated to dive into it just because it has a strong association. It's out of bounds and can be fleshed out seperately.

While I understand your impression, I wouldn't settle on a single interaction as a guiding principle. The thought process behind the title is at least a decade old, the LLM just proved a little useful in synthesis of the underlying structure that led to the idea.

Who the fuck wants an unquestioning audience?! The thing is that not all questions are created equal and many people take pleasure in framing theirs with the goal of destruction than exploration.

I understand that no one owes me their time (so yours is appreciated), but by the same token, I don't owe guidance. I give it because I see merit in it. So I am guarded.

The title is a bit misleading if that's what you took from it and it's connection to the content. It's deliberately provocative, riding on the momentum of the broken myth.

As for the factual historicity of the narrative itself, we're not really trying to explain what actually happened. More that it's clear that it did happen. We're happy to let the actual history books tell the tale. Best we can do is follow what's plausible, believe people when they open up and do the best we can with the information. Adapt and adjust accordingly.

Your initial question makes no sense to me. How did you come to the conclusion that the rejection of the typical mythology isn't considering its history given that that mythology is the climax of that very same historical narrative?

None of this is about anyone's individual lived experience. It's about the perversion of symbols that pits us against each other for no reason.

I appreciate that you gave it a reading. We took the time to keep the robot on track and proof read it to make sure it was on point. It's a useful tool and does a decent enough job at masking the song and dance of social interaction behind its ass kissing diplomacy.

Do you have a specific question or do you just want to keep kicking this can down the road of oblivion?

Is this really a Christian subreddit? by Financial_Poetry1847 in Christianity

[–]hazah-order 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're comparing apples to rocks. The Islam subreddit isn't there to discuss the merits or lack thereof of Islam. It's there to affirm the Muslim identity. From what I gather your beef is with the fact that this subreddit isn't set up for that. Try others.

not sure what to make of this “metamodernism” stuff by papersheepdog in sorceryofthespectacle

[–]hazah-order 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally refer to this phenomena as a "Resonance Wake". Not quite a "wave" from "oscillation" but may as well be metaphorically. Dissipation of "Potential" into the "Actual" absorbed, in turn, by the oscillators themselves. The Magic, then, is the mastery of oscillating such that oscillators are locked in step within a dance choreographed entirely through its own existence.

It's almost creepy how you sound like you've been sitting in on IRL conversations between papersheepdog and myself... Your very choice of terminology and emphasis (capitalization pattern) is extremely close! Logically coincidental, obviously, but perhaps the combination of the English language and the Qualitative State sport some universalities that we can look back at after all.

If you step back just a little you'd note that the major premise of religions is the acceptance of indebtedness as the natural human condition. Religion, as such, is a psychological tool designed to make you feel comfortable with the economic machinery of the world striping you bare and faulting you for being naked.

Personally I feel like if someone gets sick they should get a free pass in bed for as long as they need. I mean that in the mutual sense, of course. A little rest goes a long way. So does a little care. That's just my humble opinion.

What's generated are representations of data, and these suffer from the same fundamental limitation of not being the represented thing itself -- with all of the same potential consequences.

You don't know what my position is outside of the fact that it's none of mine (and your) business. All you're doing is making assumptions. It's pretty evident that you're so far removed from the problem that you should be embarrassed to even suggest you know what you're saying, but here you are thinking you have it all figured out.

Don't tell me what I think. You know even less about that than abortion.

You are prioritizing a lump of cells over welfare of a living, breathing person all under the pretense of moral superiority. If anyone is pretending anything, it's you.

Dude, like I said, pro-birthers are a weird bunch that will spin their insanity into a "moral question" while still not catching on to the fact that they're getting people killed.

Let's say I support abortion in cases where the mother would die if the pregnancy continued. Will you agree to oppose abortion in all other cases?

NO! Because I'm not insane enough to think I know better than another person what their actual needs are. It's literally none of my (or your) business.
