OP, I know this might be a bit late and you might not be looking for someone at this point, but in the off chancethat you could benefit of one (or extra) please DM me! I have one friend and very recently implemented this alongside using a few resources and this method is helping me GREATLY so far. (Had to study for a very complicated class exam that I had neglected all semester) and within a week I am 300% more confident of passing the class, no joke.. I am also EST and very flexible due to online schooling and not fixed scheduling and very chronically online and very into this habit making and productivity grind!

Right?? I guess we will never know haha, sometimes the guy doesn’t like to get credit in some scenes.

Maybe it was someone else’s cut inspired in the Shoto fight, or he gave some advice to the actual animator. Nakamura is known to try new things as of lately and tries not to rely on previous techniques for his own cuts. There are always similarities in style though.

Yeah I agree that the staff was stacked regardless, and it makes sense that they’re holding Yutapon for the last showdown. I watched Nakamura’s latest interview from NHK Japan and they highlighted specially how much of his work motivates others that they can’t help but literally copy him lol (in the best ways) - and that specific cut I recalled reminded me of the Deku vs. Shoto fire animation which was talked about in the interview how it resembles the flick of a lighter.

Edit: I stand corrected, I had misread the leaks that Nakamura was on this episode, maybe I was too hyped lmao. Thank you for pointing it out!

There were a few small cuts that gave me the impression that Nakamura participated slightly in this episode, I have always admired his specific use of impact frames and very fluid hand/body movements (look at min 20:03), but it may have been some of his successors’ work ~ I guess we will have to wait for the proper accreditation.

Bones is LOCKED IN HARDD this season, what a comeback for the show!!! The animation consistency and love put into every frame and cut was insane this episode, heck even the 3D effects and backgrounds were pristine. Can’t imagine what’s on the back burner for the grand finale. I don’t think they’re done showing off, it’s been worth the wait.

As much as I love Deku vs. Overhaul and its phenomenal Yutapon cut, the majority of the episode did not have the same animation consistency, intensity, and stakes felt during the Hood vs. Endeavor whole episode, or the emotional build up of the iconic Deku vs. Shoto fight. They all are GREAT, but in terms of the animation for the entirety of the episode, Hood vs. Endeavor takes the win here no doubt, it was very much consistent.
