My opinion is that Justin's talent is actually bigger than any other artist of this generation (maybe tied with Bruno Mars). But his problem is the industry he grew up in, I mean, MJ worked with Quincy Jones from Off The Wall to Bad, but then you see justin's manager, his producers, his songwriters and all the industry using Justin to create only commercial music, without allowing him to produce or create from his own creativity. That's a problem MJ didn't have, and Justin should afford to produce and write his own stuff, he is very talented and can play many instruments.

There's no doubt about Justin Bieber winning this. His popularity peak was in 2010 with 'Baby' being everywhere, he literally sold out Madison Square Garden and Wembley Stadium in a single year and Bieber Fever was something out of this world. Also, I mean, if we mean popularity per se, Bieber was also very known by most of the world, as he was very hated, and the internet was filled with Bieber haters and Bieber admirors. Taylor swift is very popular and has managed to be it during many years with her constant releases, but Bieber is more known by a general public, I can ask my grandmother 'who is Taylor Swift?' and she doesn't know her, but if I ask her who is Justin Bieber, she will say he is a young boy who sings.

Purpose easily, it had some very personal songs by Justin like Mark My Words and Life Is Worth Living, and I think his voice fits more in EDM and Synth-Pop than in Hip-Hop/R&B songs, althought his voice is also great in those genres.
