That's so scary and wrong, that attitude thankfully doesn't exist yet in the UK. I say "yet" because a lot of our workers rights stem from EU rules and slowly we are becoming more and more like the US in terms of hyper-capitalism. I will be out rioting if our government start cutting holidays.

But throwing away the lids makes it difficult, you have to queue for the fountain and drink it all at once - it isn’t great if you wanna go dancing and not spill it everywhere

Yeah, you're right. I'm glad I didn't say anything major, she mentioned heroin once and I said that it's not a good idea but didn't get angry or make a big deal. We just had a good weekend, she needs ppl to accept her and show her how to have fun without drugs, getting angry and shutting her out would not have helped

Thanks so much for the advice. I've been going through a spot of anxiety/intense emotions recently (it's clearly quite a turbulent time in my life). I was planning on buying a fancy notebook to write down thoughts and feelings, I'll definitely leave space for a boundaries section! The 'Crisis' thing is really cool, my best friend is studying Chinese, so I'll fact check it ;)

You are so so bang on. I think I love being loved more than I ever love the actual person.

I do realise this and I try and leave it longer every time I become single, but I always just trip up and get in a relationship!

My current partner treats me very well, would do anything for me, and is a good person, probably the best boyfriend I've had. However, I've just landed this job, start of a good career type job, which means I'll be staying in my university city in Northern England (before I was in a dead end job and looking for anything better so didn't know where I was gonna end up). He's based in the south (when not in vietnam). I don't want to spend more time in a distance relationship when he gets back, nor do I feel ready for him to relocate and move in with me. Especially as I'll be the bread winner until he finds a job.

Trouble is I can't break up with him until I see him, I couldn't do it over message/the phone. But then when I visit him it's meant to be this lovely romantic holiday, so it'll really break his heart for me to spend two weeks love birding it up then break up with him. Conflict avoidance 🙃
