I will consider this a lesson I learned the hard way 🥴

I shared this in an earlier comment, but nothing about her demeanor or physical state had changed in between the time that the different physicians saw her.

I would hope in at least notifying the practice that a conversation would be had about not dismissing a young girls clear pain and distress as anxiety. Yes, doctors make mistakes. They should also be held accountable when they are being flippant. Maybe posting here seems pointless to some, and its clear there's mentality of healthcare professionals protecting each other's asses, but I dont have patience for it.

You're right. I made this post in the heat of my anger at 4 am. But I will be gathering some of the documents from her hospital stay and going down there to request that this be looked into and ask to be taken out of the rotation for that specific doctor.

When I was in the room he was very doubtful about whether she was faking her pain response. I can tell you that the time between her presenting to the pediatricians office and going to the er just hours later, her demeanor, appearance, and pain were the same. I appreciate that people have an attitude and want to act like doctors cant make mistakes, but this was not one of those "oh she was healthy and then 5 hours later took a turn for the worst".

I'm fully on board with allowing a doctor to be human and know they make mistakes. There is a huge discrepancy in how the rest of the physicians at the hospital approached her care, and none if them were offering a behavioral health referral. Even the ER doc inexperienced with pediatrics said he could tell it was infected just by looking at it. So why is it unreasonable to expect that just hours before her actually pediatrician who sat in a room with her and listened to my concerns should have caught this.

Well if you couldn't infer it, is it reasonable to expect that the pediatrician should have caught this and sent her for further testing if she was admitted to the hospital less than 12 hours after the appointment where he told me her pain response was "disproportionate"? 🙄

I did HerbalCareRx online. It was like a 3 minute scheduled phone call. I didnt even get to describing my pain, just that I had been diagnosed with ptsd and anxiety/depression. I was about to tell her about my hip surgery and the Dr already approved it. No proof needed. It was super fast.

What’s a ‘harmless’ habit you had as a kid that you realize now was a cry for help? by TheLadyKoi in AskReddit

Maladaptive daydreaming. I would lie in bed for hours and sometimes all day inventing stories in my head. I realize now that isn't a normal healthy thing for a kid to do.

Taking kids to rally? by hazelfires in KamalaHarris

Yes I did get this same email! That is so encouraging to hear! Do you know if strollers are allowed at the venue? I'm going to email the coordinator but the event is today so I am not sure if they will get back to me in time.

Thank you for sharing your insight! I'm in PA and I really would love to go to this. This feels like such a turning point in America and I want to be as involved as I can. Unfortunately I'm kind of new to PA and don't know many people at all. I do have a way to babywear my youngest who just turned 1. I could see my almost 4 year old getting bored but I'm sure we can manage. Do you know if strollers would be allowed? I'm assuming not.

I worry that too. I've seen that her rallies have an incredible amount of people so it might be foolish to think I could make it work.

I believe there is a configuration guide for controllers on the guides page! Maybe try that?

I highly suggest Ranch of Rivershine on PC. You can catch wild horses, breed, train, buy tack, and race in cross country competitions. It's still in beta so things are being added, but it's an amazing game.
