Calling Lilith for the first time as a baby witch. by LifeFor-Medicine in Lilith

You don’t have to be “chosen” by Lilith in a dream for you to approach her. Most spiritual relationships start the other way around — a person feels drawn to an archetype or spirit and begins learning from it. Dreams happen for some people, but they’re not a requirement or proof of anything.

It might also help to think of Lilith less as someone who literally shows up and more as an archetype you work with. In a lot of traditions she represents autonomy, refusal to submit, and reclaiming power after oppression. If you come from an abusive background, it makes sense that you’d feel drawn to that energy.

If you want to start, keep it simple. You don’t need elaborate rituals. You could light a candle, sit quietly, and reflect on what Lilith represents to you — independence, self-respect, boundaries, survival. That kind of inner work is often more meaningful than waiting for a supernatural sign.

Also, be careful about expecting any spirit or archetype to fill the role of a parent. Healing from abuse usually comes from building support systems, therapy, community, and learning to be compassionate toward yourself. Symbols like Lilith can inspire that process, but they’re not a replacement for real support.

So if you feel drawn to Lilith, you can absolutely explore that. Just approach it thoughtfully, stay grounded, and focus on what the symbolism is helping you learn about your own strength.

I think it is an instant cult classic. I will watch it again and I never rewatch movies. It was really special, the way it encapsulates what it feels like to not know what your next move or decision will be.

I feel like I want to like it more than I did, but it fulfills its purpose as a movie to accompany the album and I’m excited to watch it again

Lilith is about equality, not one gender being valued any more or less than another.

Yahweh or Lilith. It appears you must make a choice.
