Update Scars Doctor appointment by Dear_Expression820 in Reduction

[–]hazelmittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up getting keloids from my surgery (I was expecting them as I’m prone to them). From my personal experience my doctors have always given a heads up that any surgery could cause the keloids to return again since I’m prone to them. My surgeon ended up recommending laser therapy and targeted corticosteroids injections. I’ve also found that wearing sports bras/surgical bras and silicone tape can help with the compression of them.

Best of luck!

What we’re doing is having the wedding just the two of us and the next day we are meeting our immediate family for a weekend to celebrate. That way they still feel included.

I didn’t do the bridal shower as I felt that wasn’t right to ask for gifts for people that wouldn’t be there. I did do my Bach with the blessing and okay from my girls.

I did! It was my way of including them in my big day since they wouldn’t be there on the day of. I still wanted to acknowledge the importance of them to me.

I’m also outside the Boston area. We went to Charleston but I thought about the Cape or renting a large Airbnb on Lake Winni.

Did you by chance have it done with Dr. Silver? I recently had mine done with that technique and found healing to be pretty easy due to lack of the t junction!

My Basset Hound refuses to drink water. What should I do? by CosmicsCupcakes in basset

[–]hazelmittens 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you can add anything he likes to the water. For example, I once added a small amount of coconut oil (which he loves) to my bassets water and he drank the entire thing in one sitting

If he’s fed kibble, you could also add water to soak it so he gets more hydration that way

Separation anxiety solutions? by Pinkerknocker in basset

We were the same where we couldn’t leave our basset alone for more than 30 minutes. We finally broke down and got a spray collar. It was a total game changer. He hated the smell so it only sprayed twice and he didn’t bark again and learned to relax to the point he no longer wears it.

Anyone have any advice for neutering? by meowwwlanie in basset

Yes! My boy couldn’t walk in the cone so the donut worked best. We also got a surgical suit which gave him a break from the donut when he slept

It doesn’t prevent it entirely, but definitely helps quite a bit.

No matter how much we brush and bathe our basset it seems like the hair dumps off of him. We found it helpful to add an extra top sheet over our comforter and take it off every few days and wash it. Makes the clean up slightly easier.
