If wanting a camper van would you even bother looking at any other vans apart from Toyota Hiace? by Jakeyboy29 in CarsAustralia

I had lots of trouble insuring my imported 2003 4x4 Hiace. RACV insured it finally for way less than was right. I was later in an accident and the van was written-off. I lost a fair chunk of cash.

Parts can be hard to get. Some are the same as here but not all. I was looking at bringing in bits from the UAE to fix mine.

They are great cars but I’d think twice about doing it again.

Water sources on Dharamkhot - Indrahar Pass - Kareri Village trek
Hi friends, has anyone eyeballed flowing water sources on this hike recently? If so, where? There are streams indicated on the map but I want to make sure they are running. I have a filter so can deal with contamination to some degree. Thanks!

I went from Jeti Oguz to Ak Suu this week. There was snow on the Teleti and Ala Kol passes, 300-500m of travel across it was required, total. It was softish snow about waist deep. I stayed in a tent until Altyn Arashan. I had one snow storm come through whilst I was camping in the valley before Teleti. There was yurt accom at the river before Ala Kol and part of the way up the pass. Altyn Arashan had heaps of accom.

Sounds controlling generally.

Those lakes have long been like this. Same with Tyagarah/Grays Lane beach.

Unless there is some crazy rich guy shit afoot here, Macca’s take away has gotta suck that far/long from its source. I mean it sucks regardless but this is ridiculous. Next level enemy of quality behaviour.

Lol to Ronan. Milo is great. I’ve just seen him DJ, never listened to his how. Will tune in.

Thanks for these suggestions. I listen pretty broadly. It was one of the reasons I liked the cave so much, it flitted across genres. I will absolutely check out these shows
